After never wanting to put our two dogs into kennels and believing there must be another way, we now feel we have achieved a safe, loving and secure alternative to kennels for dog owners who want a home-from-home environment for their dogs while they are on holiday.

Your dog/s would stay with one of our carer’s in their home and be treated as a family pet BUT with every safe guard in force. Your dog would be the only one in the household unless you have two or three dogs and then the carer would look after them together, no other dog is allowed from other households. Some of our carers do have a dog of their own but if you would prefer a carer without a dog then we would provide that. You will able to go on holiday knowing they have their own personal carer.

All our carers have years of experience looking after dogs with most of them being semi retired, retired or working from home or just lots of time at home. A secure garden, a genuine dog lover and at home during the day is three of the criteria’s that we look for.

We first interview the carers in their own home and check they have all the safe guards and conditions required by law. If successful they are referenced and insured.

If you wanted to book with PetStay the first thing to do is to ring or email us and then we would take all details of your dog/s and match them to the most suitable carer. A meeting is then organised for you to visit the carer with your dog/s, that way you are meeting the person who is looking after you dog and also where they are staying it is also very important the carer meets your dog.

While you are there the carer will take notes of your dogs routine and will to keep to it. If after the meeting everyone is happy you would book with PetStay, fill in our booking form and send that with a deposit.
