I Just Love Staying with PetStay

Our Services

Everything you need to know about our services for your dogs holiday stay in a home.

How are your carers vetted?
Each carer must be a genuine dog lover, are experienced in dog care and are at home during the day. The carers are first interviewed in their own home with a detailed application form being filled out. We make sure they have a secure garden and go through the written training and our guidelines with them. If after that we feel they match our criteria and we would be happy leaving our two dogs with them then we would reference and insure them.

Will my dog be the only one with the carer?
Yes, this is a pet accommodation service on a one-to-one basis no other dog will be taken from another household. If you have two or three dogs then the carer would look after them together. Carers are only allowed up to three dogs but they must be all from the same household.

What will I have to take with me when I drop my dog/s off?
You will bring all your dogs food, treats, bedding, toys, medication etc and anything that you think will make your dog more at home.

Does my dog have to be vaccinated?
Yes your dog must have up to date vaccinations, wormed and been treated for fleas. Proof of your vaccinations will be required and you will be asked to take them to your meeting, you do not require kennel cough as they are not mixing with other dogs.

What about my dog walking routine?
All dogs will taken out each day for walks which you will discuss s at your meeting. Your dog will only ever be exercised on their leads. Dogs will have a PetStay dog tag on with their carers contact details.

What if my dog is ill while I’m away?
We would endeavor to contact you or your next of kin. On your booking form we ask for a next of kin and your vets details. In the unlikely event of your dog becoming ill we or your next of kin would take it to your vets or in an emergency to the carer’s vets.

What happens next?
Please ring or email to discuss all details of your dog, and then we will match your dog/s to one of our carers and set up a meeting. If after this you are 100% happy with your pet boarding arrangements then the next step is to fill in our booking form and send that with your deposit. Once we have received your signed booking form and deposit we will confirm your booking in writing. If your planning a holiday and looking for a dogs holiday home we suggest you book as soon as possible as we are always very busy.
Please see the price and booking page.
