PetStay South Warwickshire Branch
About PetStay South Warwickshire
Welcome. My name is Kate and I own the South Warwickshire branch of PetStay. I have grown up around a variety of animals, and dogs have always been a huge part of my life. I currently have an English Pointer called Henry, a cat and chickens.
Previously I owned my own boarding cattery for five years and I trained in Equine Business Management, which also included equine remedial therapy.
As Henry is visually impaired, I am acutely aware of the concern of owners when they leave their loyal friend in the hands of another person.
Why Choose PetStay?
All the carers are chosen and interviewed by me and they have to meet a strict criteria, which includes meeting the local council licence requirements. I will do my utmost to match your dog to the most appropriate carer who can accommodate their needs. All carers are fully insured, and they will ensure your dog is treated as their own during their stay.
Our Service and Carers
You and your dog will be able to have a no obligation meeting with your potential carer, enabling you both to view their prospective holiday home. This will enable you to discuss your dog’s routine and any other requirements.
Please contact me if you would like to discuss the service offered or to book a holiday for your dog.
Becoming a Carer
If you are interested in becoming a carer then I would really like to hear from you. You must have experience of looking after dogs and love them! Also, you should have a secure garden and be at home during the day.

Frequently Asked Questions about becoming a PetStay Carer
What are the requirements of becoming a carer?
You must be a genuine dog lover, have experience of looking after dogs and you need to be home during the day so you have plenty of time to give to the dogs you are caring for. You must have a secure garden and agree to abide by PetStay guidelines. You are allowed to have a dog of your own as long as your dog gets on with other dogs.
How are your carers vetted?
If you meet all the requirements listed above, we will come and visit you at your home. We will check the security of the garden, explain PetStay procedures and show you the guidelines each carer needs to follow. If you are happy with everything and we feel you would make a suitable PetStay carer, we would follow up a reference and arrange public liability insurance for you.
How many dogs can I look after?
Our service is on a one-to-one basis, so only dogs from the same household will stay with you. You are allowed to take up to three dogs from the same household, BUT you choose what you are happy with. We will ask you how many dogs you would like to look after and what sized dog/s you would be happy to care for.
Do I have to provide the food?
No, the owner will bring any food or treats for the duration of the stay. Any toys, bedding, medication and leads will also be brought.
Does the dog/s have to be vaccinated?
Yes each dog MUST have up to date vaccinations, have been wormed and treated for fleas. Proof of the vaccinations will be brought to the meeting and shown to you.
What about walking the dogs?
All dogs should be taken out each day for walks. When you have your meeting with the owners all routines, including the number and length of walks, will be discussed. The dog is only ever walked on a lead.
What if the dog becomes ill?
We/you would endeavour to contact the owner or the emergency contact. The owner or the emergency contact would be liable for any expenses incurred in taking the dog to the vet.
Will I be paid?
You will receive a daily allowance starting from £14 per day.
What happens next?
If you are interested in becoming a carer, please ring us for an informal chat and ask any questions or email us with your details and we will come back to you. You can also use the contact form on the ‘contact us’ tab. If we feel you are suitable we would then arrange to visit you at home.

Just what we needed for our pup when we left him for 5 days. They matched us with the most lovely family to care for him, and we couldn’t have asked for better!
Everything went according to plan. Kim was excellent with Tara and looked after her very well. Tara would be very happy to stay with her again without the need for me to worry
We left it late to organise our summer holiday and had previously used PetStay twice …Our local carer was unavailable and we managed to find an absolutely lovely lady through PetStay to look after our dog. Brilliant service and communications from the company and the carer – they really do care about your beloved pet. Many thanks PetStay and Sue – really appreciate your service…. Well recommended.
We were really pleased (again) with how Orla was looked after by Andrea.
Andrea kept us updated with photos and videos. Orla clearly had a good time!
We would not hesitate to use PetStay and Andrea again.
I have used Petstay twice now, my dog loves Andrea very much. Thanks again! I will recommend PetStay to any friends and family looking for a dog sitter.
I contacted Charlotte at pet stay Warwickshire to see if she could arrange a host for our cocker spaniel, Eva. Eva is a loving but mischievous young dog who likes to think she is in charge so we needed the right sort of person to bond with her! Charlotte worked fast and found us an amazing host Andrea who we met prior to our holiday to see if her and Eva would hit it off-luckily Andrea was happy to have Eva to stay. Being first-time dog owners, we felt so reassured that Eva would be well cared for and we were not disappointed! Andrea was fantastic; she treated Eva like one of the family and the two of them got on really well. Needless to say, we were so relieved and were able to have a great holiday. Charlotte liaised with Andrea to make sure all the paperwork was completed and followed up to find out how Eva got on. I would recommend PetStay Warwickshire to other dog owners who need holiday care for their pet.
“Tess has had a fabulous week with Dawn – affectionately known as Aunty Dawn. Thanks to Charlotte who matched Tess perfectly to Dawn. This is the first time that we have used PetStay and would definitely recommend to anyone thinking about home boarding. We will certainly be using Aunty Dawn again. Tess was really spoilt and obviously enjoyed herself. Aunty Dawn even sent us some photographs! Thank you”
Jan & Chris
I’ve never liked putting my dog in kennels whilst my family and myself go abroad on holiday. For me it’s akin to sending them to Boot Camp. However, with PetStay it is a completely different arrangement. After filling in the ‘long’ booking form and showing evidence of the required vaccinations etc. Then all systems are go. Our pet Labrador ‘Ruby’ was wonderfully cared for by Major Su. We had updates and photos sent to us whilst on holiday. In fact it was 5star all the way. With Su’s patience and kindness we were relaxed from the moment we first met her. The garden was huge and Su’s own dog, Skip had a lovely nature and befriended Ruby the moment they met each other. I understand Ruby missed us initially, it’s the first time we’ve been abroad for a while but with Su’s loving and kind nature towards our Ruby with exercise and attention I cannot thank her enough, she is truly an amazing star!
Charlotte carefully matched our poodle Lottie, with wonderful dog sitter Andrea. It was the first time we had left our pampered pooch, but we went away knowing that she was in a safe environment with all her habits and needs catered for – a real home from home stay. We were updated regularly while we were away, and felt completely confident that Lottie was having a good time. We will be using PetStay again next year and would highly recommend their professional service.
Izzy & Josie
Izzy and Josie had a fabulous time with Dawn, she treated them like her own dogs. It was so easy to see when we collected them how happy they were in Dawn’s company. It has put my mind at rest for our second booking. I will be highly recommending her.
Zena loved her weeks holiday with Andrea and PetStay whilst I went abroad for the first time in 12 years. I had contact with Andrea throughout the holiday and will definitely be using PetStay again in the future.
Firstly I would like to thank Charlotte for finding me a place for Alfie’s holiday at such short notice. Rebecca and Anna were lovely; so reassuring to me as a worried owner leaving him with people he didn’t know. They genuinely are dog loving people. They have a lovely little dog of their own who also I have to thank for sharing his home…….and toys! Rebecca stayed in contact with me the whole time I was away and very quick to respond if I sent a message. I was particularly grateful as there were plenty of fireworks over the weekend which Alfie is absolutely petrified of. They made him his own little den to try to make him feel safe and gave him the run of the house.
Thank you so much again to Rebecca Anna and to Charlotte – a great caring service.
Carol-Stratford Upon Avon
I am now back from my holiday and wanted to let you know that Dexter had a brilliant time with Su Adams. I think Su is a fantastic carer and for Dexter’s first time away from me, she was the ideal person to have him. She let me know how he was doing sending me WhatsApp pictures which was a great comfort to have. I would definitely leave Dexter with Su again if I ever went away and would not want anyone else.
Denise-Stratford Upon Avon
I just wanted to say that Basil seemed to really enjoy his time with Rebecca and Anna. They are lovely people who clearly did a great job while he was in their care. Thank you for your assistance too.
A massive Thank You to pat and Frank who took great care of Oscar while we were on holiday.
Pat and Frank kept us updated with photos while we were away, also giving Oscar special treats on his birthday.
Milo and Oscar got on fine and it let us enjoy our holiday all the more knowing how well Oscar was cared for.
Can’t Thank You all enough. Xx
Thanks so much for recommending Diana and Nick to us. Chester was so well looked after and Diana and Nick deserve so much credit for this. Chester came home very happy and the photos Diana sent to us made us realise what a good time Chester was having.
We will certainly be in touch next time we need Chester caring for. Being with Diana and Nick is ‘home from home’ for him.
Thank you also Charlotte for finding a place for Chester at such short notice.
David and Merion
I wanted to tell you how pleased we are with the Pet Stay service you provided. Pat and Frank were just right for Loki and went beyond what one would expect in order to make him (and us) feel comfortable. We couldn’t be happier – huge thank you also to Milo, their dog, who was amazing and gentle- and after 11 days with a 7 month old puppy deserves a holiday of his own! 😀
Åsa (and Loki)
“Evie my Lovely Beagle has just had a week’s stay with Andrea and both survived! (Beagle owners will understand what I mean), Andrea was so good. Evie had a great holiday very reassuring that you can leave your dog with people who really like dogs like home from home . Really if you haven’t tried PetStay I would recommend you do thanks to Andrea and Charlotte who made this such an easy and helpful good experience for Evie and myself”
Just a note to let you know just how pleased I was at finding PetStay but just how impressed and delighted I was when it came time to leave Poppy with your lovely dog sitter , Andrea .
Totally professional and so very thorough in her approach to looking after Poppy that I really cant recommend Andrea highly enough . I will have no qualms about leaving Poppy again .
I have already told friends and family how pleased I am with PetStay – it is the right place for my dog when I cant be there . Thank you all so much .
Charlotte is wonderful, and made the whole process of finding somewhere for Dolly very easy. Dolly enjoyed her week away, and we have booked her in again. Thank you Charlotte, keep up the great work… Many thanks”
Rob & Catherine
Archie was very well looked after by Rebecca and Anna. We found them very friendly and welcoming and Archie has come home the happy dog he always was. Communication was great whilst we were away and I would not hesitate to recommend.
I think Archie is missing Purdy already!
Charlotte matched my dog Lulu with 2 lovely doggie carers Rebecca and Anna. They welcomed Lulu into their home and made her one of the family. She became best buddies with their little dog too. I never once fretted whilst I was away; Rebecca sent me pictures and updates. I really enjoyed my holiday knowing my dog was happy too. This is Lulu out having fun with Rebecca and Anna. Thank you.
“Jasper is only 6 months old but had a wonderful break with Susan. We had concerns he would struggle being away and wondered if he would settle but no issues there. The service itself from Petstay (Charlotte) was great and she was very helpful and answered all questions and concerns we had. Wouldn’t hesitate to use the service again.”
“Thanks to Charlotte and Warwickshire Petstay, we found 2 lovely carers, Rebecca & Anna, for our beloved Ozzy. I would not consider kennels for Ozzy and therefore leaving him in a animal loving home with the carers dog for company is a great solution, which allows us to holiday and not worry about Ozzy. The carers also keep us regularly updated with text messages and photo’s of Ozzy. Highly recommend PetStay…. ”
Bruno & Ruby
“Bruno & Ruby spent the weekend with Su and her family and had a great time. Su is a lovely welcoming person who made it very easy to leave my dogs in her care. 110% recommend her “
Jack & Mindy
“Thank you Charlotte for introducing our two to Su’s lovely home and family, and star dog Skip and the rabbit. Takes special carers to deal with an overwhelming English springer and a still nervous grey. Great updates during the stay, and good communication beforehand ”
Deborah & Nick
We honestly can’t praise Phil & Evelyn enough..they were a perfect match for Spot.
They genuinely listened to us beforehand and took real care with Spot. We could tell he’d been happy with them.
I didn’t feel like I was being a pain when I texted them & they sent reassuring messages which helped us to relax on our break.
They are a lovely couple and I’m sure you could confidently place any dog there.
Thank you again,…. other than with family, I can’t ever imagine leaving Spot with anyone else now!
Just wanted to say a big thank you for your help in providing a carer for our gorgeous little Westie. I thought Phil and Evelyn were a lovely couple, very relaxed and friendly, just perfect for looking after Bentley. They kept in touch while we were away and sent a few pics which just gives that reassurance that everything is ok. He went on lots of walks and enjoyed sitting on their window ledge looking out of the window. I would have no hesitation in using Petstay again and just hope that Phil and Evelyn are available next time.
All was good with Leo and Sue was lovely with him and sent me lots of pictures via WhatsApp to keep me updated.
I would be happy to recommend her and you to anyone.
Ozzie had a fab time with Su, he was so well looked after. Su catered for all of Ozzies’ needs as he is getting an old boy now. We would not hesitate to leave him again if we needed to.
Hi Charlotte, We are delighted with our first ever experience of using PetStay, you were extremely helpful, thorough and pulled out all the stops to find us a Carer for our dog Vader at very short notice during the summer holidays, thank you.
Our precious boy was extremely well cared for with the lovely Hayley, Nick and family who spoilt him rotten and coped well with his cheeky ways. He was extremely content and relaxed when we came to collect him 10 days later, which believe has not always been the case when staying in kennels.
We will certainly be contacting PetStay again when we are next away, so lovely to know your dog is being cared for as you would care for them yourself, couldn’t be happier many thanks again to you all.
Belinda ( Vaders mum !!)
Marley our Cavachon was looked after by a wonderful lady – Vivien. He was thoroughly spoilt and would not hesitate to have her look after Marley again. Charlotte who managed the process was very professional who found a wonderful carer very quickly.
I would recommend PetStay, Warwickshire – great service, great carer!
We are very happy with the service provided by Petstay, and cannot praise sufficiently the high standard of care that was provided for our dog, Jack during his fortnight with his carers, Phil and Eve. As soon as we took Jack to meet them, I knew we had made the right choice and Jack fitted in brilliantly. He was given plenty of walks, lots of love and attention, his medication was administered without any problem, and he ate well and thrived whilst with Phil and Eve. During our holiday, Phil sent regular updates on Jack, including photos showing Jack relaxed and happy. We couldn’t have wished for better carers.
The service from Petstay itself was very straightforward and efficient. There was also personal contact by phone with Charlotte, which was reassuring, and I was also impressed that Charlotte took every trouble to find us carers, although we booked with fairly short notice. We were lucky and got a cancellation and Charlotte informed us straightaway when it became available. The process from that point was relatively easy.
I would definitely recommend Petstay and in particular Phil and Eve, who looked after Jack as if he was their own dog.
We couldn’t be happier with Phil and Evelyn as Baldwin’s carers. Thank you so much for setting this up for us. We’ll definitely be using Phil and Evelyn via PetStay again.
Elvis seemed to have a wonderful time with Phil and Evelyn and it was a huge relief for us to know how much of a fun time he had and how well looked after he was while we were away. Here is a photo of our little guy.
Thanks Again and we’ll definitely use PetStay again!
I would just like to say how pleased I was with the service provided by Pet Stay Warwickshire.
The carer Timmy was placed with looked after him very well and it gave me great peace of mind to know that he was in a lovely home environment and not in kennels. I have never left him before as he is a rescue dog and has had a sad life. I needed to find one to one care for him which was provided by Pet Stay and would not hesitate to place Timmy with them again.
