PetStay Gloucestershire Branch
Hi there, my name is Kersti and I have the great pleasure of running the PetStay Gloucestershire Branch. Before running PetStay Gloucestershire I had been a carer with PetStay for 2 years, so I fully understand how important it is for your dogs to feel loved and cared for and for their routines to be maintained. The gorgeous pup in the picture is Teal a wonderful mix of lots of terrier-ish breeds (we think!) and she is the friendliest, ball and stick- mad dog I know. Her favourite thing is meeting her doggy friends in the park and letting them chase her till she flops on the grass exhausted!
Why Choose PetStay Gloucestershire
PetStay Gloucestershire covers the whole of the GL post codes and we pride ourselves on having extensive knowledge and experience in matching dogs with a perfect carer whilst you are away be it on business or pleasure. We insist that you have a “meet and greet” before any stay so that you, your dog and your selected carer can ensure that everyone is completely happy with the match and are familiar with each other before we take any booking. Our stays are exclusive which means we don’t mix guest dogs and our service is bespoke to the needs of your pooch. The benefits of home boarding are being able to tailor make your dog’s “holiday” with PetStay. Staying in a home environment means your dog will get lots of love and attention from a carer who will treat your dog as their own and that’s important, to you and to them!
How PetStay Works
We love to find out everything about your dog/s so I would first take all details so we have a detailed picture of them and then look to match the dates and requirements with their perfect carer. A meeting is then organised for you to visit the carer’s home to make sure everyone is happy. We have many safeguards in place to ensure the welfare of all dogs staying with PetStay including very secure homes and gardens, keeping dogs on leads when out walking, no mixing of dogs from different households, all our carers are checked and referenced by us and if successful becoming a PetStay dog carer then they have to be licensed by the local council who go visit the carers home to check the license requirements, we are fully covered by Third Party Liability Insurance.
Become a Carer
Our carers criteria is high so we would love to hear from you if interested in being one of our many PetStay dog carers. All we ask is you love dogs, (ok to have a dog of your own) have a very secure garden, no young children and are at home during the day.
So, if you are looking for a holiday home for your canine family member with people that adore dogs and who will give them all their home comforts whilst you are away or if would enjoy having doggie guests in your home and would like to become a PetStay carer then please get in touch.
I look forward to hearing from you.

Frequently Asked Questions about becoming a PetStay Carer
What are the requirements of becoming a carer?
You must be a genuine dog lover, have experience of looking after dogs and you need to be home during the day so you have plenty of time to give to the dogs you are caring for. You must have a secure garden and agree to abide by PetStay guidelines. You are allowed to have a dog of your own as long as your dog gets on with other dogs.
How are your carers vetted?
If you meet all the requirements listed above, we will come and visit you at your home. We will check the security of the garden, explain PetStay procedures and show you the guidelines each carer needs to follow. If you are happy with everything and we feel you would make a suitable PetStay carer, we would follow up a reference and arrange public liability insurance for you.
How many dogs can I look after?
Our service is on a one-to-one basis, so only dogs from the same household will stay with you. You are allowed to take up to three dogs from the same household, BUT you choose what you are happy with. We will ask you how many dogs you would like to look after and what sized dog/s you would be happy to care for.
Do I have to provide the food?
No, the owner will bring any food or treats for the duration of the stay. Any toys, bedding, medication and leads will also be brought.
Does the dog/s have to be vaccinated?
Yes each dog MUST have up to date vaccinations, have been wormed and treated for fleas. Proof of the vaccinations will be brought to the meeting and shown to you.
What about walking the dogs?
All dogs should be taken out each day for walks. When you have your meeting with the owners all routines, including the number and length of walks, will be discussed. The dog is only ever walked on a lead.
What if the dog becomes ill?
We/you would endeavour to contact the owner or the emergency contact. The owner or the emergency contact would be liable for any expenses incurred in taking the dog to the vet.
Will I be paid?
You will receive a daily allowance starting from £12.50 per day.
What happens next?

Being unhappy to put our Akita, Quba into kennels we searched for a better alternative. We contacted Kersti of PetStay and she put us in touch with Peter and Janet. Quba spent a lovely two weeks with them while we were on holiday. Throughout that time we had regular updates and pictures reassuring us that he was indeed having his own pampered holiday. We will certainly be using this service again. A much better alternative than kennels. Thanks to PetStay we can relax on holiday knowing our boy is being well looked after. Highly recommended.
Bob & Maisie
Thank you and Pauline for providing a first-rate doggy holiday for Bob and Maisie.
Pauline shows such kindness and genuine affection for our dogs, nothing is too much trouble. We loved the friendly email updates, just what was needed when you are ‘dogless’ abroad.
We shall certainly be using you both again.
Irene & Duncan
This is the first time I have had to use someone other than family to look after my 2 little dogs and I was very nervous about it. However, I needn’t have worried – our carers, Pat and Gary, were so good with them both and they looked after them as if they were their own. I have already booked again for next year.
Pete, Janet and their looked after our labrador Freda for 2 weeks in July 2018. We knew she would be in good hands whilst we went on holiday. She came back very tired and happy and now has a habit of lunging to go up their drive way when we walk her past their house. Pete and Janet are very experienced carers and I would recommend them to anyone who is looking for a lovely, safe and lively environment for their dog.
Thank you Kersti at the Gloucestershire branch of PetStay.
Our Basset Hound Lulu has been going to PetStay careers for the last 3 years and she comes home happy and contented. BUT this time Lulu came up Trumps with 2018 carers!!!! Ian Sally and Tom they were absolutely fantastic and I not once had any worry about her. They kept in constant touch via email with updates and pictures they followed Lulus Care Plan to the letter and I think maybe they really didn’t want to give her back!!!!
I wouldn’t even consider putting my beloved dog into kennels and although many friends are more than willing to have Lulu it’s absolutely no comparison to PetStay. Thank you Kersti I’ll be rebooking Ian and Sally as soon as we have booked our 2019 holiday xxxx Karen and Lulu xxxx
It’s clear Sally has a real understanding of, and love for, dogs and Alfie certainly sensed that from his first introduction.
The day before our departure, Alfie seemed unwell and I took him to the vet. She diagnosed some lower bowel colitis and prescribed medication. Alf was much improved by the next day or I wouldn’t have left him. Sally gave him his meds and it seems they shared a pleasant few days together.
If ever we need someone to look after Alf again, we will be in contact in the hope that Sally is available. I understand from Sally that she has a fairly full calendar until September!
Hi Kersti, Freddie had a lovely stay with Kendra. Kendra contacted us a few times during our holiday to keep us informed about Freddie. He was having a great time, going on country walks, enjoying lots of care and attention and eating and sleeping well. It gave us peace of mind to know he was safe and happy while we were away. We would definitely recommend PetStay.
Rosemary & Richard
Just a few lines to let you know how pleased we were that we contacted you at pet stay. Bella seems to have been very well cared for by Pat & Gary and certainly Father Christmas was extremely generous to her, she came home with far more toys than she set out with. As we stated at the outset we wanted peace of mind for Bella’s welfare and PetStay definately gave us that. We shall not think twice about contacting you in the future. Thank you .
Pat & Pete
Billy & Hugo
“I have nothing but good things to say about PetStay!! Kersti went out of her way to accommodate us when we had to make a last minute change to our plans, and despite having to deal with some complicated health and anxiety issues, both Billy and Hugo were lovingly taken care of by Jan and Dave, and by Kersti, for the two weeks we were away. The boys settled really quickly and were totally chilled out and happy when we picked them up. They loved their PetStay vacation and I wouldn’t hesitate to use PetStay again in the future!!”
‘We found Kersti by chance and I am so glad we did. At the introductory visit all my concerns were put at ease. I could see my dog would be cared for in a loving home with lots of cuddles and fuss. Medication was managed perfectly and I had one happy dog returned to me. I would certainly use PetStay again and would recommend them highly.’
Evelyn and Chris were wonderful and Reo seemed really happy when we picked him up. We had a couple of photos sent of him whilst we were away so we knew he was having a good time.
We were extremely happy with them having Reo
Molly the Jack Russell had a great time with Tiffany and Dave. She was made to feel completely at home. As Molly’s diabetic, she has to have a routine and this was followed perfectly. This is the second time she’s stayed with Tiffany and Dave and I have no hesitation in recommending them. They’re brilliant.
Marley & Tinchey
Thanks so much for having the boys last week, it was lovely to see them so relaxed when I picked them up 🙂
‘We can’t thank Carol and June enough, such nice people who obviously love their dogs. Hattie being a springer and just over a year old has limitless energy and adores games but came home happy and exhausted.’
George is back home relaxing after his latest wonderful holiday with Pete and his family. As usual he was looked after brilliantly and was made a big fuss of. He can’t wait to go back!!
We found ourselves needing to find someone to look after Ralf for our 3 week holiday when our previous plans fell through at fairly short notice. Kersti responded very quickly to our enquiry and put us in touch with a carer, Chris, in nearby Cheltenham. We had a successful visit and knew that Ralf would be in very safe and loving hands so we made the booking. Chris even sent some photos of Ralf with her dogs during our holiday so we knew he was having a good holiday too! Petstay provided a very professional, personalised service and we would definitely recommend them, it was a relief to know that Ralf was in such competent hands.
Paul and Craig, Stroud
I wanted to go away for a few days but didn’t want to leave Sabre at a kennel. My mum suggested I Google for a “dog sitter” and I found the PetStay website. Kersti got in touch within 10 minutes and then put me in touch with Dan. When I meet Dan and his family I knew he and Sabre would get on. I went away feeling confident Sabre was being well looked after. Thank you Kersti for helping me out at such short notice, I will certainly be using your service again.
We were very happy with Petstay and the arrangements you made for Biggles to stay with Evelyn and Chris. They were excellent carers, especially as Biggles was only 7months old and into everything. They kindly sent us a couple of messages and photos while we were away to let us know how he was getting on. We were really happy and would certainly recommend Petstay to anyone else..
Koiya was brilliantly looked after by Carol and June they kept us updated with regular pictures and feedback. She settled home quickly. Our dog being happy is very important too us so we are more than pleased with the service.
Thank you for welcome home note we had a fabulous holiday made all the better knowing that Frodo was in a kind home. There was an unforeseen blip before we went , but we loved the way you sorted this for us at such short notice and did not tell us until you were sure it was going to work. I am sure Frodo loved his stay with his pet carer.
We would love for Frodo to use your valuable service again so we will probably be in touch in the future.
“I would like to thank you and Chris for the precious time she devoted to my little boy Briciola. She was fantastic, sweet and kept me always informed sending messages and pictures. I really recommend her as a perfect and lovely carer. Your service is amazing, the perfect solution for pets. Attached few nice photos of Briciola. Please publish this message! I will spread the word about you. Thanks xxx”
Emma at PetStay has been so helpful and arranged a family for our 2 dogs to stay with while we were away. They had never been away from home before but the family that cared for them were absolutely fantastic. When we picked them up they were 2 very happy, very chilled out pooches that I knew had been well cared for. I will be calling PetStay and requesting the same family when we go away in the future. So much better than leaving them in kennels which I just couldn’t bring myself to do.
I won’t be so worried about going away in the future knowing I can call PetStay.
I’ve used PetStay for the first time very recently as I didn’t want to use kennels and I would never use any other service again. It’s all so well organised, we met up twice to make sure Buster was happy and he stayed with the loveliest people too. So it wasn’t worrying at all when I went away. No negatives at all to report!
We had a lovely time away and I am so pleased I enquired about your PetStay services.
I can honestly say I was impressed by your matching skills when matching us and Bailey to Rebekah, Iain and Daisy who treated Bailey as one of their own. Bailey certainly made himself at home and was not sad when we left him. Rebekah kept us updated on how Bailey had settled with them. I quote “It’s been a lovely weekend in the Bailey Daisy household, Bailey and Daisy get on really well together they come as a pair”.
Thank you, Rebekah and Iain once again, we will be using PetStay again, hopefully Bailey will be able to return to Rebekah and Iains.
I cannot speak more highly of your services and I know that Bailey has and will be looked after leaving us to have a stress free holiday.
“Jake came home after his stay chilled out and happy. I could tell that he had enjoyed himself. I could also see how chilled and happy Evelyn and Chris appeared to be with Jake as well. I would love for Jake to visit them again in the future as circumstances require. They would be my first choice for my 10 year old puppy always”
We had Alison and her lovely family look after our boy Harley for the 1st time leaving him. We went away for 11 days abroad and Alison kept in touch with photos and texts every other day. Has made it easier when we go away again and will definately use Alison again. Went back for a visit today and have a cuppa and to say thank you and it was as if it was his 2nd home. Thank you Emma and Alison will certainly recommend pet stay to any one, and will be in touch at end of year.
Helen, Stow on the wold Cheltenham
Initially when my husband and I have gone away either family or friends have looked after our yorkshire terrier Molly but on this occasion they were unable too and we didn’t want her going into kennels. I found PetStay on the website and was immediately impressed with everything they could offer. I emailed Emma and the whole procedure was so easy. She made us feel very happy that Molly would be in very safe hands. Emma matched us with a lady called Chris who was lovely and already had a 11yr old dog called Ollie and a new puppy called Teddy. We were able to visit her first and the dogs got on so well. Chris didn’t even mind that Molly likes to sleep on the bed, so she had all the comforts of home. Whilst away, Chris sent us pictures and kept us updated with texts so we knew that Molly was happy and safe.
We would highly recommend PetStay to others and wouldn`t hesitate in using them again.
Thank you again Emma
Helen, Paul and Molly, Cheltenham
Poppy and Pickle stayed for four days with PetStay carers Sally, Ian and Tom who were only 15 minutes from where we live. We had been on a visit before the stay and it was obvious that the girls were happy there, running around and exploring. It is particularly worrying for us to leave the girls as Pickle, following an operation earlier this year for pancreatic cancer, is now a diabetic (she is only 6 years old) and has to be injected twice a day as well as eating at regular intervals. Our previous dog minder is needle phobic so couldn’t do it. Emma at Petstay managed to find carers who were happy to both manage Pickle’s condition and inject her. We rang a few times whilst they were on their visit (we were encouraged to) and it was obvious that they were being well cared for and that everything was well. After we picked them up it was clear that they were happy and had received the best of care. We will definitely be booking with PetStay in the future.
Pete and Dee, Aldsworth
Meg and Barney had a very good time with Sally, with plenty of walks in the rather wet weather, while we were enjoying the sun in Turkey.
They had to stay another night later on in the week, and the test was how they would react to going there again. They bounded in with enthusiasm, so there was no doubt that they were happy there.
Meg is the more anxious dog and can show signs of stress, while Barney is very laid back and sociable. But she was perfectly happy with Sally and very relaxed.
Jack had a fabulous time with Irene you couldn’t have put him with anyone better. After meeting Irene we went away with no worries at all. She is such a lovely lady and we would be using Petstay again and would recommend to others. Peace of mind knowing Jack was being looked after made our break more enjoyable.
Once again many thanks
This was my first time using PetStay and I was very nervous initially as my dog and I have not been parted before. Emma however was fantastic and the whole experience was straightforward and gentle. The family who looked after my dog were lovely and he has returned to me happy and very relaxed. I cannot recommend PetStay enough and will certainly be using them again in the future. Thank you very much!
My husband and I were very pleased with Jacky looking after our naughty dog Biggles. Upon my pick-up I could tell that Biggles was relaxed and felt at home with Jacky. Next time I’ll need someone to look after our Biggles I know I’ll ask PetStay to help me. Thank you for all your help!
Winston & Muffin
We were very pleased with your ability to find us a carer as quickly as you did. We were very pleased with the result and found Sharon to be very kind and caring, she kept us informed throughout their stay and we will definitely use PetStay again.
Thank you again
Jo and Martin, Tetbury
I was very pleased with the service you provided Emma and Alison and her family were so welcoming. I couldn’t have wished for better care for Archie and Todd and it was a nice touch to send a couple of photos of how they were settling in with the family on their first day. The dogs came home healthy and happy. I will certainly use PetStay in the future and will recommend to my friends with dogs. It was obvious that Alison was passionate about dogs which made leaving them so much easier!
Thank you! Everything worked very well. Chris was brilliant and so reassuring especially as it was our first time. She even took the trouble to send me a reassuring text to say Eddie had settled well. At pick up time I was stuck in traffic but Chris confirmed this would be ok. Eddie seemed very happy when I collected him. Excellent. Thank you PetStay and Chris!
Sue and Eddie, Hatherley
I have just used PetStay for the first time and I can highly recommend it. I have a 10 year old Jack Russell called Daisy. She has always stayed with friends or family when we have gone away in the past as I could not bring myself to put her into kennels. When I contacted Emma from PetStay she asked all about Daisy her needs and the type of dog she is. She matched Daisy with the perfect family and she organised a visit for me to meet Tracee and straight away I knew this was the right place for Daisy. Daisy stayed with Tracee and her daughter Florence for two weeks and during that time they kept me up-to-date with photographs and how she was getting on. When I picked Daisy up I knew she had a lovely time and I have already requested another stay with Tracee for the new year.
We were very happy with the service from PetStay.
We found Brenda very loving and caring. Brenda looked after Zuki so well and gave us peace of mind to go away on holiday and not worry about her. We will be very happy to leave Zuki with Brenda again.
David and Joy, Longlevens
Molly & Meg
Just wanted to say that Molly and Meg must have had a wonderful time with Jan and family ,they looked great when I picked them up on the Sunday morning, Molly gets easily stressed and it shows in her face but there was no sign at all, they were very clean and all there bedding and towels were clean as well great Job. We would give Jan 10 out of 10 for such a great job and would have on hesitation in recommending Pet Stay if all the careers are as good as Jan and we would have confidence in using PetStay again .
Nigel, Wotton Under Edge
Our beloved dog Smithy recently stayed with Brenda from Petstay. Smithy is a French Bulldog with lots of health issues and when we dropped him off, poor Brenda had umpteen different tablets to give him throughout the day. I was naturally concerned with leaving him not being 100% but I could not have asked for a more compassionate carer. Brenda painstakingly made sardine balls twice a day (to hide the tablets!)and kept me updated with how he was getting on. I could not have found a more caring, thoughtful and utterly delightful surrogate to look after my dog, and I would recommend and use the service again without hesitation. Thank you so very much Brenda and Emma xx
Petstay was a lifesaver for us as you found the wonderful Christine Hill to care for our beloved Nutmeg. Chris treated Nutmeg the same as she does her much loved Ollie and Nutmeg couldn’t wait to go and see them. We were able to have a lovely time with our visiting family and travelling the country without a worry about Nutmeg . Thank you and Chris so much.
We will be in touch the next time we need a carer and home stay.
We were over the moon with the family Woody went to stay with while we were away. It really was a home away from home for him and we will definitely use them again! They were brilliant and really looked after him, I think Woody would have been quite happy to stay a few more days! Excellent service!
Lucy and Tom, Cheltenham
After being away from Lola for 16 nights we were so glad to see her!
We have been totally satisfied with Lola’s stay with Wendy, Stella & the pack. Wendy has been amazing with Lola and really made her part of her family. Wendy has kept us regularly updated on Lola’s antics and she has really bonded well with pup and blossom. I know Lola is missing them too and that is such a good sign as it shows us she had a great experience. Wendy is brilliant, and we know when we go away again in September for the weekend she will be in safe hands.
Many thanks for a perfect match, you too have made this all very seamless and every step of the way has been very professional.
Michelle, Robin, William, George and Lola, Stroud
We’ve had a lovely holiday thanks and so good to know that sparky was in such good hands, Jane was amazing! Sparky was so happy with her and I think they both fell a little bit in love!
We are delighted with every aspect of PetStay. Thank you for all your help. We will be back!
Thank you so much for your welcome home email.
I am extremely pleased with the PetStay organisation and professionalism.
Your explanatory emails, details, arrangements and follow up were just perfect.
About the Carer, Rita, I have no words to describe how nice, sweet and close she is.
She kept in contact with me through the holidays, and I know she was lovely with Bobby.
I can see that Bobby is missing already his new family, Rita, her kids and Barney, who turned to be his first and best friend ever!!!
Thanks for everything.
This was our first dog and so we were a little nervous about leaving him with strangers. We needn’t however we met the carer a week before we went away and shortly after we left, the carer sent a lovely picture of our dog asleep on her lap.
On our return, he was very happy and gave his career a goodbye kiss. He had obviously enjoyed his holiday and had been well looked after.
Bailey & Breezer
Bailey & Breezer had a great time while we were away. Everything went smoothly, the family they stayed with were great, plenty of walks and plenty of love what more do dogs need !!! In fact they were shattered and slept most of Sunday evening. Definitely use your services again.
We contacted Emma at short notice, two weeks before our wedding weekend. We’d had Joe sorted to stay with a friend but this would’ve meant spending most of the Saturday on his own and we much preferred the thought of him having some company. Emma was brilliant, she got back to us within a couple of days and had found a placement for Joe with Brenda and her dog Noah, who we went to meet them that week. Brenda was lovely and Joe & Noah got in well. Brenda was really chilled out and this put me at ease as Joe’s never stayed with anyone he doesn’t know before. He was really happy when we visited and I was confident he’d be fine for the weekend. Joe went to Brenda’s on the Friday until Sunday afternoon, I popped round later on the Friday with some of his things that I’d forgotten earlier and Joe didn’t even notice me as he was having so much fun!
Whilst he was there Brenda took him for walks up the hill every day and she even sent him home with some toys that he took a shine to, he was all tired out when he got home and a very happy boy! We highly recommend PetStay, Joe was well cared for and the prices were so reasonable, will be using them again when we go away.
We felt happy leaving Ted with Sally from the first moment we met her, Ted is nervous around new people, but instantly he was happy wandering around her house and garden! Sally is now Ted’s second ‘mum’, and we would happily leave him with her again.
PetStay has been brilliant, Emma was very understanding about our concerns leaving Ted with anyone, and suggested Sally might be an ideal match, which she was. Emma kept in touch by email and phone throughout, and we found the booking process easy. It has been a very positive experience.
Thank you for all your help, this was definitely the best solution for Ted, and it was great going away knowing he was in a safe place. I am sure we will be booking with you again
Fi and Col, Leckhampton,
We were more than happy with the service provided. Kersti did a great job of looking after Ted. We appreciated the little update and picture of Ted enjoying his walk in the park. Ted will no doubt remember the fun he had and be straining on the lead to see Kersti and Lola again, Thanks.
Bill, Jan & Ted, Cheltenham,
Everything was great and Tilly seemed very at home in her new surroundings- inveigled her way on to the sofa with the children, I understand!!
Emma has a lovely way with dogs – so we were very confident about leaving her with her and her family. It made it so much easier to go away, being sure that she was going to be well looked after. We will definitely use her again.
Thank you for all you have done to find Tilly such a lovely “babysitter”
We had to leave our puppy boy Herbie for four weeks – a big ask. However, Emma matched Herbie to the most perfect family. They looked after him superbly. He came home happy, calm, content and clearly loved. This gave us such peace of mind and was such a blessing to us.
We would not hesitate to recommend Emma, Petstay and the carers.
Mr and Mrs A McGreevy, Bourton on the Water,
We left our Cocker Spaniel Maesy for 10 days with Jan and Dave. She certainly enjoyed her holiday as much as we enjoyed ours. Jan and Dave were just the perfect match for Maesy giving her lots of long
walks every day and lots of cuddles. She settled in straight away, even ran ahead of us through the door wagging her tail when we got there. Looking forward to booking our next holiday so Maesy can return
We are so pleased with the service you gave us and also thought Pete was amazing and a great with our dogs. They even seem more laid back after being with Pete!! I feel the boys really loved it and felt like one of the family. Thank you so much for what you have done and we could relax knowing the dogs were happy. We will using you again when needed. Many thanks
Cassie & Mike, Arlingham
Alfie & Twiggy
It was such a relief being able to go away knowing that Alfie and Twiggy were being looked after in a safe and loving home. We didn’t feel guilty leaving them knowing they would have plenty of attention and space run around.
They obviously had a great time with paul, sophie and family and we will certainly be using Petstay again in the near future.
Lola had a lovely break away whilst we went to Wales. The host family sent me photos of her during the week which stopped me worrying and told me that she was having some lovely walks. When we got back she had just finished a long walk on the hill and was really happy.
The family we had were lovely and I would recommend pet stay for peace of mind enabling you to have a holiday knowing your pet is having a holiday too.
Marie, Charlton Kings
Thanks for your mail, and also for organising such a suitable and experienced carer at short notice. Sally spent a lot of time with me before the stay making sure she understood my boy’s requirements – being a Vizsla, he’s quite high maintenance and she didn’t appear at all phased by his unbounded energy, odd demands or cheeky ways. She made every effort comprehend his daily routines and expectations and knowing he’s a sociable chap, she ensured he had plenty of walks and doggy company whilst we were away. I can’t tell you what a difference it made to us knowing that he was with someone who genuinely cared and would do their best to make sure his stay was a happy one. A kennel was out of the question for us – this was a much, much better resolution
Mrs Smith, Stroud
We used Petstay recently when we attended a family get together. Our dogs have never been in kennels but all of the family members who usually look after them were going away with us! From the first contact with Emma the whole process was quick, efficient and thorough. Emma matched us up with the most suitable carer and after a visit with Chris to introduce us and our dogs we knew we could go away with total peace of mind. We were so happy with the service that we have booked again for our daughters graduation in July and would recommend them to anyone looking for a home from home for their pets.
What a super efficient, friendly and outstanding service provided by Emma at PetStay. So delighted to have found you and your excellent services. Your dog carers are so kind and clearly adore the dogs placed with them. Thank you so much cant wait to go away again!.
Myriam, Charlton Kings
We contacted Emma at Pet Stay for the first time last year because we had no wish for our young dog to go into kennels when we went away. I was immediately impressed by the professional but friendly manner in which Emma came over. The first family in which Emma put us in contact with has been the perfect match for our dog Skye, and we now have no anxieties about leaving her when we are away. I would most definitely recommend Petstay to anyone needing peace of mind for their pet when they have to leave them behind.
We were so anxious to leave our rescue Lab in kennels so got in touch with Emma, who found us the perfect family to look after Sky. He was so well looked after by Emma and her family and enjoyed his many walks in the lovely countryside with the horses and playing with his ball. We enjoyed our holiday knowing he was happy and are already planning our next holiday so he can have his own holiday too! We would highly recommend PetStay to anyone wanting a first class service. Thanks again
Alix & Clive, Cheltenham
Extremely happy with the service provided. Wendy kindly kept me updated with pictures and messages to show that he settled in well, being a new dog to our family I was obviously concerned that he would be confused, but Thankfully I clearly had nothing to worry about.
On collection there was Santiago sprawled out on Wendy’s Sofa, having cuddles from her daughter Stella. I shall defiantly being using your services again, and requesting Wendy as she is simply amazing.
Thank you for pairing Santiago so well to one of your dog carers. Also Santiago says thank you for his birthday card 🙂
Just to say thank you for directing me to Chris! Evie had a wonderful time there, she was out in the garden “helping” when I arrived to pick her up. I will certainly be asking for Chris again, she and her family are lovely people, peace of mind assured 🙂
Emma really paired my Lurcher Buddy up with the best holiday home possible. As a recent rescue with a few issues, I was unsure how he would react to another new environment. I needn’t of worried. Emma was even kind enough to send photos that showed my boy was relaxed and enjoying himself. If boarding kennels are really not an option for your canine companion, this service cannot be faulted. A huge thanks to Emma and Mummy Claire!
Balin & Bet
Balin and Bet had a great stay with Nicky and her family – they constantly went the extra mile to make sure the dogs were happy and settled – even arranging the furniture so Balin could continue with his love of watching the world through the window (or watching out for the postman!) Nicky sent me three photos of the dogs – all in positions they love the most – Balin at the window, Bet hogging a (human!!!) bed and both dogs in front of the fire. My dogs loved their time with Nicky and her family – they really had a ‘home from home’ dog holiday. Thank you
A big thank you to Emma from PetStay for providing a friendly and professional service when arranging care for our Labrador puppy . After an initial get together meeting with Carer Kersti, Indy was extremely well looked after in a home environment. We came home to a content and happy dog, we cannot recommend PetStay enough!
Thanks again, we will most certainly be back! 🙂
Tilly & Lolli
Tilly and Lolli had a wonderful time when they stayed with Peter and his family. Peter kept us informed on how they were getting on which was so reassuring. When we collected them they seemed a bit glum to be home – they missed their holiday and new friends!!
Petstay provide and excellent service and we will definitely be using you again. You made the whole experience of leaving our girls (which we have never done) hassle free.
Thank you again.
We had a great week away, made better for knowing that Zephyr was in Cheryl’s safe hands. She looked after him brilliantly and he has obviously grown very fond of her. I hope that we may stay in touch and that if ever the need arises again I will have the security of knowing that he will be going to stay with someone he knows and loves.
The service you offer is great, it’s easy and straightforward to book, with no hidden costs or unexpected extras. As I have always had rescue dogs I have never felt comfortable putting them in kennels if I go away and this is a fantastic alternative.
Once again many thanks to you and to Cheryl.
Petstay made a hard decision of leaving my dog with strangers very easy, I got to meet up with my sitter before hand who made me feel relaxed and assured. The process was very simple and more to the point my dog was really happy.
Winnie obviously had the time of her life with Chris and her family. Home will be very boring for her now! Her personality and condition after quite a prolonged stay away from home was quite different from anything we had seen before, whether she had been in kennels or with personal carers. Thank you for helping to eliminate at least one worry while we were away
Kind regards, Anne – Dumbleton
We were delighted with Petstay, and our dog seems to have enjoyed his holiday as much as we enjoyed ours. Petstay’s friendly and obliging manner, never pushy but ready to help as and when needed, was very much appreciated and the sitter family were no less cooperative. An excellent experience allround and we have no hesitation in recommending Petstay to other pet owners.
Geoff and Celia – Ruscombe, Stroud
Gus had a lovely time with Claire on his first stay away from home, they got on very well together and he is looking forward to his next holiday with Claire in the Forest. Thank you for arranging the right carer for our special boy, Gus.
Pat and Steve – Hempsted, Gloucester
Thank you so much for arranging Ruby’s stay with Michelle. I was so much happier with her being there. I went on holiday feeling 100% confident that she would be well looked after and she was. I will definitely use Petstay again.
Julie – Leckhampton, Cheltenham
With a recent change in circumstances, I was really concerned about the prospect of going on holiday and leaving my dog, Maisie, with someone. I called Emma, who listened to all my worries and understood that Maisie would need just the right family to stay with. I couldn’t have been happier with Val and Paul, I felt so relieved and was able to go on holiday without any doubts at all. Maisie had a wonderful holiday herself and was lovingly looked after, in fact I’m not sure she really wanted to come home! I will definitely call Emma at Petstay next time I am going away. Brilliant service!
Thanks once again for everything. Amanda – Gotherington, Cheltenham
I contacted pet stay this summer to find someone to look after my shih tzu for the very first time since I had him . I had only ever left him with my mother and was very wary of leaving him with anyone. I have looked at dog kennels but couldn’t leave him in outside kennels when he is used to living indoors. I saw pet stay and was encouraged to find dogs are looked after in homes. I was immediately put in touch with Sally, we met up and I felt at ease with her pleasant personality and her relaxed way with my dog. She was excellent and I will have no fears or hesitation in using her again.
Shirley – South Cerney, Cirencester
With regard to the care and attention Toto received in our absence we could not really be any happier as he was looked after superbly by Michelle who understands dogs incredibly well, and is very good at picking up the little traits and nuances of each dog; and as a consequence they are treated like individuals. The fact Michelle has her own dogs Jambo and Logan we feel helped immensely as Toto had lots of company and exercise.
In short we would have no hesitation in recommending PetStay and Michelle to any of our friends or relatives to look after their pets in their absence (in fact we already have) so much so we shall be looking for Toto to return later on in the year
Kind regards ML – Charlton Kings, Cheltenham
We were so happy with the service you provided for Poppy, she was so well looked after and happy. When we picked her up from Sally’s she was in such good condition with a beautiful shiny coat and a very waggy tail. Sally was so kind and lovely and Poppy even had new toys which Sally had given her. We would certainly recommend your service to anyone who has a dog and is looking at going on holiday.
We will certainly be in touch again in the near future.
Thank you so much Lucy – Stonehouse
I cannot speak highly enough of the service I received when I used PetStay for the first time a few weeks ago for my dog. My parents who usually look after my dog were unable to do so I faced the real dilemma of either putting my dog in kennels (which she absolutely hates as it caused her extreme anxiety, the extent to which she was unable to eat) or cancel my event. While googling kennel availability I came across the PetSay website. It was the answer to a prayer. My dog could be cared for in a ‘home environment’ free from the stress and noise of a kennel. I had an initial meeting with the carers who met my dog before having her to stay and immediately my mind was put to rest. They were dog lovers and I just knew she was going to be well cared for. As a consequence I had a great weekend and so did my dog!! I picked up a very happy and contented dog a few days later and would not hesitate to use this service again if ever the need should arise.
Best Wishes Julia – Painswick, Stroud
Thank you Emma for coming to our rescue at short notice. We could not have asked for a nicer family to look after Jock for the weekend, and I am sure he enjoyed his time with Lorraine and Paul, I know he had plenty of walks! We were also very pleased that they were able to continue with our training regime.
We will certainly be in touch again when the need arises and will be recommending your services to neighbours and friends in the area. Thank you once again
Caroline – Abbeymead, Gloucester
Alfie had a fabulous weekend as well. He loves kids and playing with other dogs so he fit in really well. Emmas kids & Alfie got on like a house on fire and the 3 of them played non-stop. He was absolutely pooped when we came to pick him up, but very happy.
Both Bruce and I were very happy with the way Emma & her family took Alfie in & treated him as one of their own. We’d love for them to be the hosts for any future times when we need to leave him with someone.
Charlott – Tivoli, Cheltenham
We got back after a long journey and picked up Dylan from Clares, and she is lovely and provided a very good environment for Dylan. So much so Dylan did not want to get in the car to go home. Clare obviously loves dogs and she said Dylan was lovely and how much she enjoyed having him. I think Dylan also loved being there and would recommend your Petstay service and in particular Clare to any dog owner.
Gerry – Cheltenham
I was really happy with the service Petstay provided for Brian, meeting the family he was to stay with first was great, I think he had a great time with them; so much better than using kennels
Thanks, Lauren – Cheltenham
Jeff has such a lovely stay and I was so, so happy that he had such a lovely family to stay with who are obviously as dog mad as myself! I’d love him to stay with them again and I’m sure he will be looking forward to it. Thanks so much to you and the family for an amazing service. I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone who loves their little pooch as much as I do.
Jenny – Tewkesbury
Pauline & Steve were wonderful, they were really very caring and really seemed to enjoy having Bumble around. They even gave us some pictures of his adventures with them. He seemed a very content dog there and we were very comfortable leaving our boy with them. I would be delighted if they could look after Bumble again when it is needed. It was great finding petstay, it is just what I have been looking for. It must be difficult finding good minders when you just start up but Pauline & Steve are definitely keepers!
Regards Tim – Minchinhampton, Stroud
We were very happy with the care provided for Rosie by Lorraine, Paul and boys. Lorraine is certainly a great dog lover and we were confident that she was the right person to look after Rosie having herself had an old dog on medication. It was lovely to receive photos and texts from Lorraine while we were away, very reassuring .We have no worries about leaving Rosie again. I am sure she enjoyed her stay.
Regards Tricia – Kingsway, Gloucester
I can’t put a price on the knowledge that my adorable little dog will be cared for whilst I’m on holiday. The thought of Benson going into kennels was just not an option as he loves being around people, he’s so sweet and loving with a lovely character. Emma from Petstay was very efficient and went to a lot of trouble to find suitable carers for Benson. When I met the carers for the first time I knew instantly that they would look after him well, as they are genuine dog lovers and a really lovely retired couple. Very good value for money and I would highly recommend Petstay. The best thing of all was knowing I didn’t need to worry about him which meant I had a lovely holiday.
Thanks for all your hard work
Paula – Wotton Under Edge
Harriet & Georgina
Lorraine was utterly amazing, my pups didn’t want to come home after playing in her garden for three days
With thanks from Caroline – Stroud
