Prices listed are per day (or part thereof), except for Bank Holidays, when the Carer’s Allowance is doubled — because we believe our wonderful carers deserve extra for their dedication during these special times!

This fee is non-refundable and non-transferable, as it covers the service provided by your local PetStay branch in carefully matching your dog with a suitable carer. It also contributes to essential operational costs, including:
The Carer’s Allowance is a separate payment, made directly to your chosen carer when you drop your dog off for their holiday. On Bank Holidays, this allowance is doubled, reflecting the extra commitment and care our carers provide during these times.

You must be a genuine dog lover, have experience of looking after dogs and you need to be home during the day so you have plenty of time to give to the dogs you are caring for. You must have a secure garden and agree to abide by PetStay guidelines. You are allowed to have a dog of your own as long as your dog gets on with other dogs.
If you meet all the requirements listed above, we will come and visit you at your home. We will check the security of the garden, explain PetStay procedures and show you the guidelines each carer needs to follow. If you are happy with everything and we feel you would make a suitable PetStay carer, we would follow up a reference and arrange public liability insurance for you.
Our service is on a one-to-one basis, so only dogs from the same household will stay with you. You are allowed to take up to three dogs from the same household, BUT you choose what you are happy with. We will ask you how many dogs you would like to look after and what sized dog/s you would be happy to care for.
No, the owner will bring any food or treats for the duration of the stay. Any toys, bedding, medication and leads will also be brought.
Yes each dog MUST have up to date vaccinations, have been wormed and treated for fleas. Proof of the vaccinations will be brought to the meeting and shown to you.
Giovanni and Stuart were again just amazing. Gracie had the best time over the course of a few weeks. Giovanni sent brilliant videos of her during her time in the water, on the hills and chilling out in their garden. She was sorely disappointed to return to her real life. We cannot recommend Giovanni and Stuart highly enough.
Thanks Jane.
Gillian
Ruby stayed with David and Beth who were fantastic. They sent updates to let us know how she was getting on. She loved the walks and chilling in the garden. This was Ruby’s second stay with David and Beth and I will definitely book with them again.
Margaret
Our first experience with PetStay was very positive and right from our first enquiry with Jane everything was dealt with very professionally. Izzy stayed with Margot who was very caring and kept us updated with messages and photos. Izzy was happy and received plenty of attention and affection. It made leaving her so much easier knowing she was well looked after. I would certainly book with PetStay and Margot again.
Jan
PetStay take care of finding a suitable host for your pet. We’ve used them 4 or 5 times, and always felt relaxed that she’s in a good place. Most recently Ann looked after our dog. Sent photos and updates, never off the lead. I think the dog had as nice a holiday as we did.
Phillip
Absolutely delighted with our PetStay experience, from booking to co-ordinating Blondies personalised care arrangements and managing transitions, the whole home boarding process was exceptional. PetStay did a great job of finding our perfect match for Blondie as Giovanni and Stuart went above and beyond to attune to our young Golden Retrievers needs.
From the outset Giovanni and Stuart took time to understand Blondies complexities (and our anxieties) . They were unhurried and reassuring, engaging us in a comprehensive orientation process before her stay.
We felt totally confident the carers by the time Blondie began her 2 weeks stay and were delighted to receive regular and highly creative updates during her stay. Thank you!
Blondie has been settled and confident since her stay and this response speaks volumes about her experience. Thank you to PetStay, Giovanni and Stuart. Highly recommended.
Fiona
Alan and Catherine are just amazing with Penny, she has stayed a few times and it’s just like home to home for Penny. Trustworthy and Penny is always relaxed and calm. Penny loves going up and never in a huff when we come home from holiday. A million thanks.
Lindsey
Our Skye stayed with Kate for the first time . And I can’t thank her enough she was amazing. We kept in touch and I loved getting my messages with photos and where they had been on their walks which was all new places for Skye . Kate adapted to Skye’s needs and I couldn’t ask for more . Skye is already booked to go back to Kate and I couldn’t be happier. I’m so glad I contacted PetStay.
Helen
This was the first time Willow had stayed with Margaret and what a wonderful holiday she had! Margaret kept us updated every day and sent us lovely pictures and videos of Willow who was obviously having the best time! It was so reassuring to know Willow was being so well looked after and we would have no hesitation in using Margaret again for Willow’s next stay. Huge, huge thanks to Margaret for being so lovely and to Jane for arranging this for us.
Donna
Our cocker spaniel Lulu had a great time while staying with Sue and Barry. This was clear from the daily photos Sue sent us and the bond they had 🙂
Sue and Barry met us before Lulu’s stay to allow her to familiarise herself with her new holiday home. Sue and Barry are great boarders and we hope Lulu can stay with them again in the future.
Judit
Another successful weeks’ stay for our dog Stella, being looked after so well by Ann. Staying with Ann, and her own pup Chip, has become a real home from home experience for Stella over the last few years which makes leaving her so much less stressful for us.
Roslyn
Very well organised service, excellent , quick response by phone & email initially. Contacted at all stages of arrangement for my dogs care. Host couple were lovely & meet & greet easily organised & went well. Communication from host couple during our short break was reassuring. Cannot fault the whole experience with PetStay.
Anne
We have been using PetStay for 2 years now. Absolutely great experience for the furry members of the family! Highly recommended!
Happy Customer
We couldn’t recommend PetStay highly enough. Our pup, Milo, has always been made to feel completely at home, and the regular updates and photos give us real peace of mind while we’re away.
It’s clear that Milo receives lots of care, attention and affection, and knowing he’s happy and settled means we can truly relax and enjoy our holiday. Jane and our sitter, are fantastic — professional, caring, and genuinely passionate about dogs.
We feel very lucky to have found such a wonderful service and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend PetStay to other dog owners.
Big thanks to both you and Margot for the sit again.
Gill
So 5 stars. Giovanni and Stuart took great care of Gracie to the point I think she would have quite easily stayed on at theirs if she had the chance! Giovanni sent lovely updates over the weekend reassuring us
that she was ok. Couldn’t recommend them highly enough.
Gillian
I don’t know where to start. Our dog Buster had a reoccurrence of a back issue shortly into his stay. By that time we had travelled 1/2 way around the world and were of little use in getting things sorted out.
Anne (the carer) and Jane (the manager) stepped up to the plate and got Buster the help he needed. They drove across the city so that Buster could see his own vet. Once he had his medication Anne looked after him as if he was her own. We got regular updates and were able to continue with our holiday knowing that Buster was getting looked after so well. I cannot thank Anne and Jane enough. I’m really grateful for their dedication and professionalism.
Fraser
Nigel absolutely loved his time with them – he’s made some wonderful new friends and seemed to settle in straight away. We were delighted to receive daily pictures, which were fantastic and really reassuring. It was lovely to see how much fun Nigel was having and how engaged Sue and Barry were with keeping him entertained. Being able to see Nigel so relaxed meant we could truly enjoy our holiday, knowing he was in great hands. Sue and Barry’s care made all the difference, and we felt very confident leaving Nigel with them. Without a doubt, we’d happily ask Sue and Barry to look after Nigel again in the future. Thank you so much for arranging everything and for the excellent service.
Carolyn & Alan
I used PetStay Glasgow for the first time recently, and from my very first conversation with Jane, I felt completely reassured that my Labrador, Molly, would be very well cared for. Jane took the time to ask lots of detailed questions about Molly’s personality, preferences, likes, dislikes, and routine, which immediately gave me confidence in the service.
Molly was matched with Geraldine, and after our initial meet-and-greet, I knew she was the perfect fit. Geraldine is such a warm, kind, and caring person. Molly clearly agreed, she settled instantly at Geraldine’s feet and even fell asleep within minutes!
Molly had a wonderful stay and was so well looked after. Knowing she was safe, happy, and cared for made it so much easier for me to relax and fully enjoy my sister’s wedding without worrying. Geraldine kept in touch regularly with lovely updates and photos, which I really appreciated and loved receiving.
I would 100% recommend PetStay to anyone looking for home-from-home care for their dog. And if your dog is lucky enough to stay with Geraldine, they will be in the very best hands! I’m so grateful to both Jane and Geraldine, and I’ll definitely be booking for Molly to stay again in the future.
Victoria
Kona was extremely well looked after by Val and Ben, and enjoyed playing with their grandchildren. We got photographs and updates showing that Kona had clearly made herself at home. We would happily book in with them again and would be delighted to recommend to other dog owners.
Louise
Frankie and Ivy went to stay with Martyn, Kelly and the kids for a week and had a wonderful time while I was on a work trip. The dogs have really bonded with them, this was their second stay with the family and the pugs charged through the door like they own the place. They received excellent care, lots of snuggles, meds administered and came home happy and exercised. I got photos and updates every day and they manage the quirks of both dogs so well – I can go away knowing they’re receiving the best care and all the love and attention they deserve. Thank you to Jane at PetStay for finding such wonderful caregivers.
Al
Our boy Rafa is a regular with PetStay and Eleanor’s family. We have complete trust in PetStay, their vetting processes, and the care for our dog when we are away. We love the daily updates, pictures, and the constant communication is excellent. We see our dog having a wonderful family experience and he is always relaxed and calm on our return. We have used PetStay over a number of years now and travel usually multiple times per year. I highly recommend them.
Joanna
Breagha had a great time staying with Margaret & Charlie. She settled in and made herself at home even at the initial visit. We had full confidence she would be well looked after. It was lovely to get updates and pictures while we were away. Great to have the peace of mind knowing she was having a lovely time too !
