PetStay Dorset & Bournemouth Branch
Hello, my name is Isabelle and I am the owner of the Dorset and Bournemouth Branch of PetStay. I live in Dorset with my husband, three daughters and two much loved family dogs – Labradoodles called Chester and Poppy. I am a fully qualified and accredited dog trainer and have been helping dogs and their owners for most of my working life. I understand the effort and love owners put into the training and care of their dogs and from experience, I know that owners do not want to leave their furry family members in a kennel. This is why I set up the PetStay Dorset and Bournemouth Branch – to offer bespoke home boarding for family dogs.
Why Choose PetStay Dorset and Bournemouth
PetStay Dorset and Bournemouth covers the whole of the DT and BH post codes and offers a “home from home” whether you’re planning a trip for business, a weekend break or a fortnight get-away. The benefits of home boarding are being able to tailor make your dog’s “holiday” with PetStay. This means, we are able to follow the routines you already have in place at your own home, be that sleeping, feeding, exercise or companionship. Staying in a home environment means your dog will get lots of love and attention from a carer who will treat your dog as their own and that’s important, to you and to them!
My Host Families
I have handpicked my host families ensuring I only employ the very best. All carers are experienced dog owners and most importantly – love dogs! You can choose to either board your dog(s) alone or if your dog enjoys doggie company, with a carer who has a friendly dog of their own. A “sniffing out” meeting will be set up so you and your dog(s) can meet their carer and see their holiday home beforehand. Safety is very important to us, so we never mix dogs from different families and we keep all dogs on leashes whilst walking in public places. Finally, all hosts are fully insured and regularly inspected by myself to make sure they meet the stringent criteria required for the license by the local authority.
How it Works
I take great care in getting to know you and your dog before they home board with PetStay and take full details of your dog so that I can find the perfect carer for him or her. I will guide you through the booking process and a “holiday list” will be provided of essential items that will need to be packed to make sure your dog(s) have their favourite things with them. So if you would like to book a holiday with us or find out more about our service, please do get in touch on the numbers or email below. I look forward to hearing from you and providing the very best home boarding that Dorset and Bournemouth have to offer.

Frequently Asked Questions about becoming a PetStay Carer
What are the requirements of becoming a carer?
You must be a genuine dog lover, have experience of looking after dogs and you need to be home during the day so you have plenty of time to give to the dogs you are caring for. You must have a secure garden and agree to abide by PetStay guidelines. You are allowed to have a dog of your own as long as your dog gets on with other dogs.
How are your carers vetted?
If you meet all the requirements listed above, we will come and visit you at your home. We will check the security of the garden, explain PetStay procedures and show you the guidelines each carer needs to follow. If you are happy with everything and we feel you would make a suitable PetStay carer, we would follow up a reference and arrange public liability insurance for you.
How many dogs can I look after?
Our service is on a one-to-one basis, so only dogs from the same household will stay with you. You are allowed to take up to three dogs from the same household, BUT you choose what you are happy with. We will ask you how many dogs you would like to look after and what sized dog/s you would be happy to care for.
Do I have to provide the food?
No, the owner will bring any food or treats for the duration of the stay. Any toys, bedding, medication and leads will also be brought.
Does the dog/s have to be vaccinated?
Yes each dog MUST have up to date vaccinations, have been wormed and treated for fleas. Proof of the vaccinations will be brought to the meeting and shown to you.
What about walking the dogs?
All dogs should be taken out each day for walks. When you have your meeting with the owners all routines, including the number and length of walks, will be discussed. The dog is only ever walked on a lead.
What if the dog becomes ill?
We/you would endeavour to contact the owner or the emergency contact. The owner or the emergency contact would be liable for any expenses incurred in taking the dog to the vet.
Will I be paid?
You will receive a daily allowance starting from £14 per day.
What happens next?
If you are interested in becoming a carer, please ring us for an informal chat and ask any questions or email us with your details and we will come back to you. You can also use the contact form on the ‘contact us’ tab. If we feel you are suitable we would then arrange to visit you at home.

Jenson had a wonderful stay with Sarah, Andrew and Pickle. They took such good care of him and he was made to feel so at home. Jenson and Pickle got on really well, I think he is really missing him now he’s home! He has a new best friend! 🐶
We are so happy to have met Sarah, Andrew and Pickle and can feel relaxed and reassured Jenson is very good hands when we go away. I know Jenson will be looking forward to his next holiday with them.
I was definitely very pleased with Blondie’s stay with Vivien! I had been a bit nervous that she’d be a handful for them as not only is she the typically spoilt toy poodle but with all her medical problems it’s quite a responsibility. However, any concern I had was needless as Blondie was very relaxed about the whole thing. Vivien’s aunt even managed to persuade Blondie out for short walks on the lead! This is no mean feat these days! I can now look forward to my next break without worrying about Blondie’s care. Such a relief! I’ve already recommended your services to several friends.
Thank you so much for putting us in touch with Vivien. She was the perfect host for Wiggo, who suddenly lost her sight a couple of months ago. Wiggo had a wonderful weekend. I think she was truly spoilt!
Vivien & Wiggo
Benji enjoyed his stay with Vivien & Marjorie, and would certainly recommend and use PetStay again.
Roy & Benji
The placement went very well.
Jenny was very welcoming and friendly. She is organised and professional, making notes to make sure our dog’s needs were met. We felt confident leaving him with her that he would be looked after well and kept safe. We would use her again and she says she would have him!
Thanks for your services.
Rosie is a lively cockerpoo with an eye for fun and a little bit naughty. Sarah and Andy looked after our dog in terms of fun and enjoyment. They love dogs, Rosie treated them the same way as she treats us. I had no fears at all about her care. Their own dog Pickle accepted her too.
She was nervous the day we left for our holiday we nipped off quickly after settling her in. But we had a very happy dog wagging her tail away on our return very confident and at ease.
Malcolm & Jenny
I was very impressed with the efficiency and professionalism of yourself and PetStay. Most importantly you found a delightful lady to look after Joey whilst we were away. Clearly Vivien is very experienced with dogs and has a perfect home in which to look after our elderly dog. We will definitely continue to use PetStay and Vivien.
Ralph had a super time with Andy, Sarah and Pickle. He was very well looked after and treated as part of the family. Isabelle was extremely accommodating when we had an unexpected change of plans and very swiftly found an alternative sitter. I cannot fault the service and would very much recommend.
Billy enjoyed his mini holiday with his PetStay carer, Joan. She thoroughly spoilt him and he made himself at home, having a good old bark at her visitors when they arrived.
He was very tired when we picked him up as he’d been on some lovely walks with Joan who’s a keen rambler. We had a nice time away, knowing he was safe and looked after.
Isabelle found us Jill and Brian to look after our young Bichon Daisy while we were on holiday. The whole process was very professional with everything covered. We met Jill and Brian ahead of the boarding and they made us feel at ease leaving Daisy with them. Daisy enjoyed her holiday with Jill and Brian. They kept us updated with videos and photos, and we were able to relax ourselves knowing that Daisy was being well looked after.
Rebel had a great time with Kelly. He came back happy, fit and healthy. Kelly kindly kept me updated on his well being.it was his first time away from us and we were a bit apprehensive but Kelly was very reassuring and we felt quite relaxed and able to enjoy our holiday abroad with our grandchildren. If the occasion arises we would not hesitate to leave him with her again.
Jude & Bryan
“Very professional service provided from start to finish. My two dogs were well matched with Andy & Sarah who looked after them as if they were their own. I would have no problem recommending them and PetStay to anyone looking to home board their dogs.”
Sue Breckon – St Ives, Dorset
Dylan obviously enjoyed his stay with Jenny – who is absolutely lovely & was sweet enough to send us a couple of texts to let us know he’d settled in.
Very impressed too with the organisation – all made to ensure Dylan was happy & we were too! Very grateful to have found you!
We are very impressed with the PetStay service. Stanley was very happy and settled during his week long stay with carer Joan. I would not hesitate to use PetStay again or recommend to others.
Holly had a lovely time with Diane and Ossie who looked after her so well we don’t think she wanted to leave! She had lots of walks and settled in well. We will definitely use Diane again as we can relax while away knowing she will be well cared for.
Thank you so much to Isabelle and Stacey for looking after our boy when we were away. It was our first time leaving him and we were nervous! Chewie absolutely adores Stacey and had a fantastic time, he didn’t want to leave her when we went to pick him up! Stacey was so wonderful, keeping in touch and sending pictures & videos, she really is a perfect match for us. Chewie was obviously showered with love and attention and very well looked after! Thank you again, Chewie is already looking forward to his next holiday!
Rhiannon, Dave & Chewie
Thank you Petstay for organizing the little holiday for Lockie! Jenny and the whole company were amazing and with it being our first time away from Lockie, we were completely assured throughout his stay that he was in very good hands. We will definitely be using your services again!
Rachel & Lockie
Just wanted to let you know how pleased we were with Walter’s stay with Jackie and George. He obviously had a great time and they seem to have grown quite fond of him too.
Our holiday plans for the rest of the year are within the UK, so we’ll be taking him with us. But we will definitely contact you again if there’s an occasion when we need to leave him behind.
Please pass on our thanks and good wishes to Jackie and George.
Charmian & Walter
‘We collected Finley after his stay with Helen & Andy and we were so pleased with the way they had cared for Finley. It was our rescue dogs first time away from us for a long period. He looked totally at home with Helen & Andy and had been very well looked after. They were amazing with Finley.’
Once again, perfect stay with Jackie. Poppy loved it, wonderful photographs taken by Jackie, of Pops meeting her brother’s dogs. I don’t think either Jackie or Poppy can wait until September for her next holiday!!
Thank you so much.
Barney & Lola
Thank you Isabelle. Barney and Lola loved being with Stacey. I don’t think they wanted to come home. She was a lovely dog minder and even though I’ve never left them before I felt perfectly relaxed while away knowing they were safe and as a bonus, happy too.
Thank you Isabelle for finding Bev for us, who looked after our boisterous puppy, Gibbs had a great time and was well looked after. We will definitely use PetStay again. Thank you.
Firstly, a huge thank you for having matched Lola with Diane and Ossie.
They are clearly very kind and attentive, and also very energetic, and up for a long walk in all weathers. A well walked dog is a happy dog!
It is a great relief that we can now plan some holidays, without worrying about Lola being cared for.
We had a lovely cruise and Puppy had a lovely holiday also with Kelly, he was full of beans when we collected him and had been well cared for. We will definitely be using Petstay in the future.
Just wanted to say thank you for finding us a lovely carer for India, whilst we were away, she had a brilliant time and June and Scooby made her very welcome. Will definitely be using this service again.
Happy PetStay Customers
Thank you for introducing us to Jill & Brian. The dogs had a wonderful time and came home more behaved than when they went! I shall be booking them in with PetStay again soon..
Thank you Isabelle for finding Bev for us, who looked after our boisterous puppy, Gibbs had a great time and was well looked after. We will definitely use PetStay again. Thank you.
Billy had a wonderful time with his sitters, he didn’t even look back when he left me! He behaved well and came home clearly happy and as mad as usual. I would recommend this service again and again.
Once again Poppy has had a marvellous time with Jackie. She comes back even better trained than before (puts us to shame). What a wonderful find Jackie is , that helps us enjoy our holidays without worrying about our precious girl.
Rex had a wonderful holiday with Maureen and Doug, what lovely people they and what great Ambassadors they are for your company – you are very lucky to have found them.
Olly had a lovely stay with Jackie and George whilst we went off to Warners at Sinah Warren for a Turkey and Tinsel weekend.
To be honest, I don’t know who enjoyed their respective stay the most! We will certainly avail ourselves of this service in the future, as we had total peace of mind that Olly was safe and enjoying himself.
This is Saffy who spent last weekend with Jill and Brian in Ferndown. She had a wonderful time in their lovely home. Jill sent me some video footage of her playing and out walking. They were immensely kind and tolerant with a dog who can be a bit of a diva. Not naughty but a bit spoiled. I will definitely ask them to have her again if the need arises.
Hi Isabelle, Just to say how delighted we were after picking up Poppy from Jackie. She came back a contented and happy girl. We had to put her in kennels for one night a few weeks ago and she hated it. As my partner said “never again” to kennels, but definitely yes to Jackie.
Thanks once again.
Pixie & Emma
Hi Isabelle,Our girls had a wonderful time with their new Auntie. Pixie and Emma were relaxed and happy when we picked them up and we are happy to recommend PetStay to other dogs and owners. Many Thanks
Jason & Flo
After meeting Kelly I felt very happy to leave Max with her for a week. When picking him up he was very content and just loved her two teenage children. Whilst we were away we received two pictures of Max and it confirmed he was a very happy dog.
I will certainly use Isabelle’s PetStay again and thought the whole process ran smoothly.
Hi Isabelle. Thank you for arranging the break. Sapphy was very well cared for and I was particularly impressed by the way Beverly understood Sapphy.
We picked Bella up from her short stay with Beverley yesterday and were delighted to see that all went really well and both Beverley and Bella seemed to have enjoyed the experience.
We came away very reassured about her longer stay there in September. Thank you for your help in finding Bella her holiday home with PetStay.
Our Wheaten Terrier Lucky has had a bad leg and we wanted somewhere special for her to stay. PetStay service was excellent as was the sitter June – I can’t praise them enough. June was fantastic for Lucky – I would highly recommend her to any clients you may have and would certainly use her and yourselves again in the future.
I just wanted you to know that Ralph had a great holiday with Dianne. She really took care of him and provided the home from home experience he needs.
We were extremely happy with Mabel’s holiday. She clearly settled very well with Heidi and was reported as not being any bother. All the administration was very good and we are grateful that you are so thorough. It was also most reassuring to be able to contact Heidi when we needed to sort out details. In fact Heidi was really excellent and we would be very happy for Mabel to stay with her again in the future.
Thank you and thanks again to Heidi.
I was so happy with the entire service. Isabelle was very helpful in finding a carer for my golden retriever Honey at short notice. I could not have been happier with Stacey with whom Honey stayed with. Upon meeting Stacey, she instantly put me at ease, and I was totally confident that Honey would be well cared for. Stacey kept me updated with messages and photos, whilst I was away. Honey looked so happy and relaxed in the photos, so much so I thought she may not want to come home! I would thoroughly recommend Stacey and PetStay.
Just a short note to say thank you to you and to Anne for supporting Molly, this last two weeks whilst we have been away on holiday, it was wonderful to be able to relax without worrying if Molly was ok, she clearly was looked after superbly by Anne who was also lovely and who obviously looked after Molly so well. I will not hesitate to use your services again, it was wonderful to see Molly so bright, brushed and clearly looked after, which is the main thing we wanted . Once again thank you.
Wally & Jackie
“Thank you so much to Isabelle and Beverley for looking after our still crazy and middle aged Jack Russell, Pipi. Isabelle’s organisation is excellent and we met Beverley with Pipi a few months before we went away. Isabelle was very efficient and kept in touch with us and Beverley is clearly a dog lover. Pipi was very content when we collected her after our holiday and it seems that she and Beverley had had a whale of a time! Beverley took Pipi out with her during the day, including 3 walks a day, which was lovely for Pipi to be so occupied. Thank you so much to both of you for looking after her, and us so well.”
Ruby has been with Jackie and George as you know, and we collected her today. We are so pleased that she has been looked after so well and obviously loved. Thank you for setting us up with Jackie and George.
A HUGE thank you to all of you. The best first experience of leaving Blue. We are so pleased we found Petstay. Isabelle was amazing at finding us the perfect carer for our 1year old lab x staff, Blue. Caroline and her lovely family were absolutely AMAZING with her. Blue is a very energetic, bouncy ball of crazy at times and Caroline coped with and met her needs perfectly. Blue loved it…Lots of long walks, games, training, cuddles, treats and lots of love. Caroline even celebrated our pups birthday with a birthday treat as she noticed Blue turned one while we were away. We didn’t worry one bit, knowing Blue was in the best hands. Plus daily updates with great photos… I couldn’t of wished for more. Highly recommend. Thank you……
We appreciated all the help provided. Will definitely be returning.
Michaela and Family
Bella & Charlie
Just a quick note to say thank you for setting us up with Beverley. Both Bella and Charlie had a great time with her and we could see that they really enjoyed their time with Beverley and bonded with her very well.
From what we could see, Beverley also enjoyed having Bella and Charlie with her which we thought was great and we’d definitely love to have Beverley look after Bella and Charlie when we need in future.
We did thank Beverley directly, but we also thought that since she did such a wonderful job looking after them that we would let you know as well.
Beverley is a lovely lady and really cared for Bella and Charlie in the same way we do and we think she is amazing 🙂
Please reiterate our sincerest thanks to Beverley and thank you for setting us up with her.
Maddie & Poppy
I just wanted to say how happy I was leaving Maddie and Poppy with Jackie and George.
I was very anxious as Maddie was very poorly last time we went away and thought the stress of not seeing me may have triggered it off.
They both seemed very happy and relaxed throughout our holiday… Jackie and I had contact most days which was lovely and reassuring.
I will definitely be leaving my girls with them for our next holiday.
Stephen & Rocky
“Our Cocker Spaniels Rocky & Stephen thoroughly enjoyed their stay with their Petstay family. This was the first time we had to leave the dogs ever so we were nervous but after contacting Isabelle at PetStay we were put in touch and met with the family. The whole process was very easy and to cap it off, as we had never left the dogs before our carer agreed to send us daily updates with photos, basically the dogs had as much of a holiday as we did. We will use PetStay again.”
Our previous pet sitter retired so I needed to find a new one to look after our Border Terrier and I am so glad that we found PetStay. Isabelle carefully listened to what was needed and matched us up with a lovely couple who live a few miles from us. We met them a few months before our dog was to go to them so they could decide if she would fit in with them and for us to see their home and get to know them. All worked well and we made the booking. Our fur baby stayed with them for two weeks recently and was obviously very happy with them as they were with her. We were so pleased with the way they looked after our girl and we have booked in two more stays for next year. I would highly recommend this company.
Thank you so very much Isabelle for pairing Sooty with Jackie and George, what lovely people and she had a lovely time. I will definitely be using this service again and can highly recommend it. Thank you for taking great care of her.
Kelly Bryan family
Thank you so much for finding a dog sitter for my Charlie Boy. Dianne was such a lovely lady and Charlie settled in fast :-). Very happy and at least I know when I go away again Charlie will be in safe hands :-).
Hi Isabelle. Thank you very much to Maureen and Doug, I have told people what lovely carers they are and how well they have looked after Bella, she came home happy and I think she missed her new friends Rosie and Alfie. We can now relax for future holidays knowing how much they care.
Caroline was absolutely AMAZING! We LOVED her so much (and Nick too). Caroline was great with Blue, even with Blues over excited jumping and going crazy. Blue is going to love it there!
Thank you for your help matching Caroline to Blue. We couldn’t be happier and are now able to relax and enjoy our little holiday knowing Blue will be in the best, capable hands.
Michaela and Blue,
Dylan & Dexter
We used PetStay for the first time this weekend & will definitely be coming back. Isabelle did a great job of organising everything & Kelly had the ‘pleasure’ of sitting our 2 Miniature Schnauzers Dylan & Dexter. Despite them being lords of the manner at home & getting away with everything & anything, they apparently behaved themselves & she loved having them. It was great to go away for a weekend knowing they were in good hands.
“Thank you very much Isabelle for pairing up our dog Tilly with Jackie and her family. Tilly loves to be made a fuss over, which she is in Jackie’s care! She loves going back there and I know she is in very good hands. ”
Purdy & Freya
EXCELLENT, excellent in all respects, the girls had a great time, can’t speak for Anne but I hope that they were not TOO much trouble.
Anne is sooooo competent, reliable and a level headed lady who not only puts me at ease but also the dogs, so important to my mental wellbeing when away.
Will definitely use Anne at Petstay again in the future.
Ernie & Teddy
Just a quick line to say thank you so much for organising Ernie & Teddy’s holiday! They had a lovely time with Heidi. Heidi was friendly and welcoming as soon as we walked in the door to visit her initially, she made a fuss of the dogs and showed me round her lovely home. The boys seemed completely comfortable there when I took them to stay and Heidi told me they were so well behaved!
Thank you once again for your help and recommendation, it meant that we could go away and enjoy ourselves knowing that the boys were happy and well looked after. We would definitely use Heidi again. I have spoken to her but please pass on our thanks again.
We adopted Stevi from Romania and she came to us in a very poor mental state. Although she improved tremendously we were very concerned that changing homes so quickly would affect her progress. Anne was recommended by Isabelle at PetStay and as she had great experience with Golden Retrievers we met her and were immediately impressed with her empathy with Stevi. So off she went to stay with Anne for two weeks and we returned to find a happy very bouncy girl who had obviously had a super holiday. Anne is a lovely gentle lady who cares very much that the dogs in her care are happy and well looked after and I would have no hesitation in recommending her and PetStay as a great alternative to kennels.
Leah, my lurcher, had a great time on her holiday arranged by Petstay. It was great to be able to meet the carer beforehand, go through all the details of routines etc and to arrange a trial sleepover first. Bev is clearly well used to dogs and it seems that they got on really well. While I was away, Bev sent me a wonderful photo of Leah looking completely relaxed. This really helped me to know all was well. We are looking forward to the next time.
My little boy Louis, 14 months old had a fantastic stay with his friend Tilly with Kelly from PetStay, I was worried about leaving him as he had not been away from me since I had him last year. But all my fears were put out of my mind after I up met with Kelly, who had a lovely clean home and you could see loved dogs. When I collect Louis I was so happy to see he was relaxed and I think wanted to stay with Kelly and her 2 children who fussed after Louis and Tilly and took them for so many walks. I will certainly being using Kelly and PetStay again. Thank you for taking such good care of my little prince. Si and Louis
Thank you so, so much for pairing us up with Kelly and her lovely family. We can tell Marley’s had an amazing time and he appears even more relaxed and playful after his little holiday.
He is definitely looking forward to his next stay and will be telling all his friends about your services in the meantime.
Anke, Justin, Seth & Marley
Our 1 year old Cockerpoo Tinker had a lovely time on her weekend away with PetStay. Kelly looked after her so well and the whole process was very easy. Will definitely use again 🙂
“Lovely people from booking to visits to the stay itself. All very professional and felt very reassured leaving TEDDY with his carers. A fantastic service would use again and again. Highly recommend.”
Thank you so very much Isabelle for finding Kelly and her family to look after my much loved and treasured Bailey. Kelly and her children made Bailey, a 20 month old Cocker Spaniel and myself feel very welcome in her home. Bailey enjoyed his stay and was totally spoilt on his first trip away. I feel more than happy to leave him with Kelly again.
Thank you very much Isabelle for finding a dog sitter for Pepper. I am very happy with Jackie and Pepper also seems very happy when I pick her up. Pepper is 10 years old but thinks she is still a puppy and full of mischief. Pepper also likes lots of cuddles and Jackie is happy to provide them.
Thanks Becky and Pepper
I just wanted to say that I thought Kelly, your carer was lovely. She said that Bella slept on her bed during the two night stay and found Bella to be an angel!! I would have no hesitation in using Kelly again. Thank you!
Coco & Crystal
We were very happy with the service provided by Petstay and will definitely be using them again. A very professional and well organised service that left us feeling that our girls were safe and happy.
My 7 month old dog stayed with the carers for a week introduced by Isabelle through Petstay. The carers had their own dog that was carefully matched to the character of my dog Bella. I was impressed with the organizational side of Petstay, all aspects of the care and my preferences were discussed and taken care of. Bella was looked after very well and I had daily updates from the carers through email. I was very happy that my dog stayed with a family and not in a kennel. I will definitely use Petstay again! Thank you!
I also wanted to let you know personally how delighted I was with your service and especially Nicky who looked after Rosie superbly. I felt 100% confident in her and am sure that Rosie was very much part of their family and that she had a very enjoyable stay there.
We would certainly use Nicky again in the future and I would be grateful if you could pass on our thanks to her too.
“I recently retired but being still full of energy and enthusiasm I thought the description of a PetStay carer suited me down to the ground. I’ve always been a dog lover and, until recently, a devoted owner, so meeting all the different breeds who come to stay is a real breath of fresh air. Each one is an absolute character and it’s a privilege to care for them until they’re happily re-united with their owner. PetStay is a very well run organisation, the fact that, through them, carers are licensed by the local authority gives the job proper gravitas, and I also get all the back-up and support I need. I look forward to many happy, fulfilling years as one of their carers.”
“Hello, my name is Joan and I am a carer with PetStay. I grew up with various animals and plenty of dogs, my father being a vet and mainly we lived in farming communities. However no dogs, cats or guinea pigs for the whole of my married life as my husband had an allergy to pet hair, although I spent lots of time with friends and their dogs. I have been a widow for three years and during that time I started walking dogs for friends.
A neighbour told me about PetStay and I decided to apply to become a carer. It has worked out very well for me in that I get to meet so many different four legged friends, each with their own personality. I do miss them when they go home but along comes another one equally absorbing and we have lots of fun whilst their mums and dads are away on holiday. I also know that if I have a problem or a query I have the backing and experience of Isabelle at PetStay.”
We have been very busy the first part of 2017 booking lots of your lovely doggies in for their holidays at PetStay for the summer. We love bringing this wonderful service to you and your dogs and are delighted to announce that we will be exhibiting in five local Fetes this year. PetStay Dorset and Bournemouth will be at the Ringwood Family Fun Day on 10th June, Ferndown Fete on the Field on 24th June, The Sopley Village Festival on 15th July, The Burley Village Show on 5th August and the fabulous Buckham Show on 26th August hosted by Martin Clunes. Please pop by and say hello – we love meeting you all and of course your lovely pooches and these events give the perfect opportunity to do so. Keep an eye on our Facebook page for little reminders of these events.
Hello Owners and Lovely Dogs
Well as Christmas approaches it has been another busy year at PetStay Dorset and Bournemouth. Autumn has seen us employ another 6 new carers across Poole, Bournemouth, Christchurch, Ferndown, Wimborne and Corfe Mullen and all have already boarded their first doggie guests with great success – with another 4 ready to start in January, you can be sure there will be a perfect carer available for your furry family member!
I attended the Annual PetStay Conference in Leicestershire in November, where all the PetStay branches nationwide get together to share news, ideas and hear the latest information from PetStay Headquarters in Yorkshire. Lots of exciting news including an online shop featuring PetStay merchandise for carers and customers to access, new central booking systems to be trialled and information on shows and events to attend in 2017.
As you all know it is a legal requirement for all Carers to have a Home Boarding License from their local Council. Here at PetStay Dorset and Bournemouth, we take this very seriously – all licenses expire on 31st December 2016 and you will be pleased to know that all our carers have already applied for their Home Boarding License, so will be fully covered to receive your precious dogs in 2017.
Shows and More
PetStay Dorset and Bournemouth will be looking to exhibit at various Village Fetes and many other smaller local shows next year. We’ll keep you posted on the Facebook page as to the date and time of the shows and where we’ll be – come along and say hello, it would be lovely to see you and your lovely dogs there.
Here at PetStay Dorset and Bournemouth, we are always looking for new carers to join our professional and friendly team to cope with the ever increasing demand of home boarding. So if you know of any friends, acquaintances or family members who would like to look after dogs in their own homes and earn a little extra cash whilst doing so, please ask them to get in touch. Remember the criteria – to be dog mad, at home during the day, have a secure garden, no young children under 7yrs living at home and love walking!
Keeping your Dogs Safe
Here at PetStay, your dog’s safety is of paramount importance and we never let dogs off leash. Accidents and disasters happen when dogs are off leash – dogs get lost because they are off leash, dogs get run over because they are off leash, dogs may get attacked by another dog because they are off leash, dogs get stolen because they are off leash. When something like this happens, it’s devastating for the owners, the carers and PetStay Dorset and Bournemouth. So please be assured that when your lovely dogs stay with us, they shall always be kept safe and on the leash whilst out walking with their carers.
Facebook and Marketing
If you haven’t done so already, make sure you like the PetStay Dorset and Bournemouth Facebook Page – lots of interesting information on there as well as funny doggie pictures to cheer you up on a rainy day. With your permission, we put up a photo of your dog having a lovely time on holiday whilst you are on holiday yourself! We also put up reviews from happy customers – we always love reading our reviews about how happy your dogs were staying with one of our lovely carers. If you know anyone wanting home boarding for their dog, please do recommend PetStay Dorset – it’s wonderful to get recommendations from other satisfied owners.
Thanking you all for choosing PetStay Dorset and Bournemouth and wishing you and your loved ones a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
There are plenty of wonderful places to walk your dog but Moors Valley Country Park, in Ashley Heath, Ringwood is one of my favourites. The Castleman Trailway is 16.5 miles long and there are several different routes you can take along the Trailway – I am always discovering different ones with the help of my dogs! Happy Walking!
