Here are the few simple stages of booking with PetStay.

1st: Ring or email your local branch to discuss your dogs requirements and dates.
2nd: We will explain all about PetStay and what your next steps would be.
3rd: We then take all details about your dog and then match them to the most suitable carer.
4th: A meeting will be organised for you and your dog to meet the carer.
5th: If you are 100% happy with your carer you would then be ready to book with PetStay.
6th: No later than 5 days after your initial meeting, complete our on-line booking form and pay the arrangement fee.
7th: An email confirmation will be sent to you.
8th: You’re all booked in and don’t have to worry about anything.
9th: Drop your dog off at the carer’s home with food, a bed, toys, and anything else you think they might need.
10th: Go away with complete peace of mind and have a wonderful holiday.

*PetStay Arrangement Fee

Our daily rate is made up of the Arrangement Fee and the Carer’s Allowance.  These are 2 separate payments.  The Arrangement Fee is a payment to arrange and confirm the booking of your dog’s stay, and is due for payment within 5 days of meeting your dog carer.  For a repeat booking the Arrangement Fee is payable within 5 days of your requested dates being confirmed by PetStay.

The Arrangement Fee is non-refundable or non- transferable

The Arrangement Fee is for the service provided by your local PetStay branch in selecting a suitably matched dog carer for you and your dog.  The Arrangement Fee also represents a proportion of all the administration and ongoing business costs, including but not limited to, Public Liability and Employer Liability insurance, licensing, recruitment of carers, advertising, 24/7 support to carers, and business documentation giving you peace of mind and your dog a quality home dog boarding experience with PetStay.

Found this company fairly last minute for a summer holidays stay for our 4.5yo lab. Cheryl was extremely quick to reply and gave us a very reasonable quote, found us someone who was available and arranged a meeting with them all within the space of a week. Very efficient and professional service. Then the actual stay itself was very easily arranged (pick up and drop off) with the carer themself who was very lovely and easy going. I was confident when I dropped off my beloved doggy that she would be well looked after and she definitely was. I probably would have liked a few more updates while we were away but I’m not going to deduct stars for that because I probably could have communicated that better with the carer. We still got updates approx every other day and the photos we were sent were great! I could tell when I picked up our dog that she’d had a great time. She had happy body language and made sure to give the carer a cuddle before we left! All in all we would definitely use this service again if we need to and would recommend to anyone in the Leeds area!

We could not recommend Cheryl at PetStay (Leeds and Ilkley) and Kathy our host, enough. Thank you! Our wire haired pointer Peggy has had a real home from home experience. It was Peggy’s first stay with Kathy so we arranged a meet up first at her house and Peggy immediately settled so we felt comfortable when we dropped her off for her stay. She trotted in very happily and a week later we picked up a very relaxed and happy dog. Having had to deal with a recovery period of about a month after previous kennels, this has been such a great arrangement and really suits our home loving pointer. Cheryl has been great at finding the right host for us and matching Peggy, who is quite a large dog, with the best host. We are already booked in again for September!

I don’t think you could have found a more perfect match! I always worry so much about the dogs when I’m away. Boe a strong boy and can get carried away around livestock, birds and animals…

Pip is getting to that age where she is so old and fragile and gets very upset when we leave her.

Joanne and her husband are the just people and were just beyond brilliant with both dogs and their differing needs. It was so good to be able to go away and enjoy our wedding and honeymoon, knowing that the dogs were fully taken care of.

For 10 years Oscar went to kennels while we were on holiday. Although he was well looked after, he often came home subdued and anxious. For the last two years he has stayed with Kathy. We booked our 1 and a half year old lab in with PetStay due to travelling abroad for our wedding and having noone to look after him for us. Having checked out a couple of kennels there was no way I could leave Wesley in such a place. He is a very loving little chap who needs constant companionship. When we first approached Cheryl I was a little bit nervous, we adopted our dog Dexter last November and although he has come on leaps and bounds he still has some quirks which I was worried would make it difficult to find a suitable carer. Myself and my partner Sam were due to get married and we needed someone to look after our little Pomeranian Teddy. I have just collected one happy pooch from her week stay with Harry & Linda. I cannot recommend PetStay enough! Harry & Linda are the most kind, caring and devoted people who provided a loving home for my 1 year old Cavapoo (Luna). I had never left my dog with anyone before, but after the Meet & Greet, I knew that Harry and Linda were the perfect couple and knew my dog would be safe and cared for. When I collected my dog, she was so happy and calm around them. Linda showed me a photo she had taken of Luna sat on the top of their sofa, with her chin resting on Harry’s shoulder, watching TV together. It melted my heart!

Absolutely delighted with our first ever PetStay booking. Our Labrador is 13 and too old for kennels now so we decided to look for home care instead. We couldn’t have wished for a better experience. Our chocolate lab Shaq has never been left with anyone before. I couldn’t be happier with Dizzy’s ‘ holiday’ with Linda and Harry . I knew as soon as we met them that he would be happy with them and Dizzy made himself at home straight away. Linda and Harry are lovely people and obviously naturally good with dogs . This was the first time I’d left him since a stay in kennels a few years ago . When he came back from the kennels he sulked for a few weeks and wasn’t himself. This was completely different. When we went to collect him he was happy and relaxed .

Our two dogs spent the bank holiday weekend with Chris. “I moved to the UK from the US at the end of November with my pug Henry. I knew I would have to travel for work, and didn’t know anyone here that could watch him. I am against boarding him at places where he’s kept in a kennel all day and is subjected to multiple other dogs. I discovered PetStay while searching online, and decided to check it out. After speaking with Cheryl, I was thrilled to hear that Henry would be staying with a “carer” in their home, and would also be able to stick to his normal routine! The other amazing part of the whole process was that we got to meet the carer beforehand. Cheryl called before and after the meeting to give me all the details and ask how everything went. Our carer was Rita, and she was wonderful! She texted me while I was away to let me know that Henry was doing well and took great care of him. We look forward to using PetStay again!

Our dog Tully is lovely, but a bit of a handful, especially when out and about so we need to be absolutely certain that he stays with people who can handle him confidently. Recently, he stayed with Jo, Craig and family and their dog Cobi whilst we enjoyed the first dog free week since we got him. The hosts were brilliant and looked after him really well – he had a great time (that’s Tully on the right enjoying a game of tug with Cobi). He came home, happy and healthy and we would not hesitate to use the hosts again.

Oh my goodness ! My little Soozy has just been with PetStay mum n dad, John and Pat for 2 weeks and I’m absolutely thrilled at the care she’s received ! My Dog Harry recently stayed with his favourite doggy sitter Rita.  Both my dogs have stayed with her (one recently passed away) and they love her to bits, Harry has diabetes and for the first time Rita took care of his condition, having to inject Harry twice a day with insulin, this is not easy to get the hang of and there is a lot to remember, Rita was amazing, Harry was looked after so well and I knew with Rita he was safe and that he would be fine with her giving him his injections.  I cannot praise Rita highly enough, she is very loving and genuinely cares for the animals she looks after, Harry loves going to Rita’s and I’m very lucky to have found her through PetStay, Cheryl is always friendly and extremely helpful when I have called to arrange Harry’s stays with Rita, thank you Rita and Cheryl, a great service and very much appreciated

Again we were very happy to see our dog in such a great condition after we left her for long 14 days with two great carers, Linda and Harry. Christine welcomed Rosie into her home even crocheting a blanket especially for her! Rosie is almost 17 years old and Christine gave her a peaceful and quiet home to stay, even accommodating a last minute change to arrangements. Christine did her usual fantastic job with Pip. We feel he had a far superior social time than we did.
His own rug to curl up in, a garden to wizz around in and the social treats planned for him. Pip being a very sociable animal, despite his poor puppyhood in Crete.

Poppy previously has stayed many times at 2 different kennels and although they looked after her well and kept her safe she didn’t thrive in that environment – she usually had lost a lot of weight – and her voice! – and seemed traumatised.

Fudge was so very well looked after by Pat and John. When I dropped Fudge to their house, Fudge was so happy to see them again as she has missed them. My two dogs had an absolutely amazing time with Pat and John. We felt at ease leaving our dogs there for 16 nights and had great communication throughout our holiday! Eddie has had the best holiday possible staying with Pat and John. He was very well looked after! Pat and John have looked after Ty on two occasions (one for 1 week and one for 2 weeks) they are fantastic. Having never left Ty with anyone other than family I was worried to leave him, but they have made me feel so at ease and I wouldn’t have anyone else look after him now. They’re devoted to the dogs they look after and Ty didn’t even look at me when I went to pick him up after his most recent stay, I think he would have happily stayed there!!
I recommend PetStay to everybody, such a great company Cheryl has been really helpful through out the whole thing.

We have just collected our little Yorkie from Linda and Harry who have looked after her as if she were there own. We were worried about leaving her as she has a delicate digestive system and has had both her back legs pinned we need not have worried as her needs were taken on board and followed carefully.

This has made our holiday stress free and we would recommend highly Linda and Harry to any pet owner looking for first class care of there pet. We will be using them for all future holidays were Lucy needs caring for, thank you so much.

George has just had a lovely few days with Jayne and Michael in Yeadon.
This was our first experience of PetStay and it has been first class from our first contact. Cheryl was helpful and thorough and found us careers immediately.
As a retired racing dog George is sensitive and anxious and does not do well in kennels so this is the perfect alternative, allowing us to leave him without worry.
I would recommend PetStay to everyone and Jayne was absolutely wonderful giving us updates on how George was doing. He came back very happy and I have no worries on leaving him again in the hands of PetStay and Jayne or their other careers.

“Amazing service from start to finish. After the initial meeting with the carers selected by PetStay we were very happy to leave our Jack Russell in their care. Our dog is a rescue, he’s a bit older and has a few issues that needed accommodating – this was no problem Cheryl talked through everything with us and made sure we had carers that matched our needs. We had a lovely relaxed holiday knowing that Jack was being cared for and we came back to a happy, relaxed dog who seemed like he’d had more of a holiday than us.

“Flo looked after Sabi as we took a family trip to Lisbon for a long weekend. I was initially worried about him as he’s a rescue dog who was found on the streets as a puppy, so he can be a very sensitive soul, and I was concerned he might get distressed with us being away and not staying with family like he usually does when we need a pet sitter. Anyway, I had absolutely nothing to worry about, Flo was perfect for Sabi, she was very patient with him and understood he just needed a bit of time to come out of his shell on his own terms & he didn’t seem to that bothered about leaving when I picked him up! Will definitely love to have Sabi stay with Flo again in the future, thank you!“

Absolutely brilliant.
Frank is very unsettled when away from home and he just wasn’t happy in kennels.
Initially he had an overnight trial where he was unsettled which was to be expected but the carer was so helpful and patient with him and he eventually settled and we were able to go away knowing he was looked after and happy.
We no longer have to worry about what to do with him whilst we are away as we know he loves his home from home.

John and Pat were absolutely fantastic and would definitely use them again in the near future. Fudge had recently injured her paw and John and Pat looked after her so well, giving the medication on time to ensure she’s on her way to a speedy recovery, and they followed our instructions wonderfully. My old boy Scamp 12yrs Sheltie and younger Pixie the border collie have had a happy weekend stay with carer Sophie in Chapel Allerton. They both have very different needs of which were accommodated with ease, even going out of their way at times. I would highly recommend Petstay as an alternative to kennels for our next holiday.

Our little Yorkie just had her second stay away from home she has a very delicate digestive system and I’m pleased to say her diet was adhered to which meant her routine was unbroken, she was taken for walks and introduced to other people at a local church meeting and she was fine so for a nervous dog I’m pleased all went well. She was allowed to sleep in her crate which is her comfort and safe zone she was very pleased to greet us on our return home but is having a little sulk today for leaving her. I don’t think PetStay is the cheapest by any means but you get what you pay for and I would recommend PetStay to all who want a break away and worry about leaving there much loved and precious pets at home.

Our dog TERRY stayed with LINDA and HARRY for the last 2 weeks. We selected PETSTAY because we didn’t want to leave Terry in kennels. The service provided by pet stay is Excellent.
LINDA and HARRY are a lovely couple who really cared about the dogs they look after.
TERRY settled in almost straight away being made a fuss of by LINDA.
When we went to pick TERRY up we could see that he was happy and relaxed and looked as though we had come to spoil his holiday.
We have no hesitation in using PETSTAY again and would definitely choose LINDA and HARRY if possible.

Misty stayed with her carer, Rita, for 2 weeks and came back happy and contented. I was impressed by the pre stay checks which ensured I was happy with the arrangements and Rita met Misty before the stay and knew they were compatible. Previously Misty had stayed in kennels and although well cared for came back stressed and anxious. This time I came back to a happy contented dog who had enjoyed her stay in Rita’s home. It was great to be able to keep in contact with Rita by text and I enjoyed my holiday knowing Misty was well cared for and content. Misty was happy in her home from home and I have already booked Rita to care for Misty on my next holiday.

Finding the right holiday home for our beloved Bulldog Bentley was of paramount importance to us. On our first meeting with Linda and Harry with Bentley we just knew they were the right Carers. We have just returned from picking Cassie up from Harry and Linda and just wanted to give you some feedback.

Firstly well done for pairing us with them, Harry and Linda are an absolutely lovely couple and the way they looked after Cassie couldn’t have been better.

Cassie looked like she had had a great time and David and I could tell that she had been well loved and cared for just like we do.

They are a credit to Petstay and we won’t hesitate in booking them again, we are now looking for dates for a longer break. We can’t boost them up enough but unfortunately for us that means that they will get booked up now because anyone who leaves their dog with them will be wanting to re-book and we may struggle to fit Cassie in!

So anyway, just wanted to say thanks again and if you could pass on our thanks again to Linda and Harry please too.

Our dog Lucas is used to having us around all day, so we wanted a real home from home for him when we went on holiday.

We did a lot of research, finding some forms of boarding definitely not to our liking, before striking lucky and finding Kath and Colin. We rang to ask about the service they offer and after speaking for a little while we arranged to visit them at their home. This was an extremely important aspect of having Lucas looked after; we needed to see that he was going to be comfortable in a ‘strange’ environment. We were immediately put at our ease with the way Kath and Colin reacted to Lucas and more importantly the way he reacted to them. We told Kath and Colin about the things Lucas likes to do. A careful note was made so that his usual routine could be adhered to as much as possible. We left feeling reassured and confident we had made the correct decision regarding Lucas.

Lucas had all his familiar things with him when he went to stay with Kath and Colin, his bed and usual food and bowls and his toys. I asked if I could contact Kath and Colin during our holiday to make sure that Lucas was okay, and I was told that was no problem at all. We got an email telling us what they were getting up to together. More importantly, were told that Lucas was settled and happy.

We enjoyed a relaxing holiday knowing that Lucas was being looked after in just the way we needed him to be.

When we went to collect Lucas on our return he was playing ball in the garden with Kath, Colin and their grandson. He ran up to us to say hi, and then very quickly he went off to carry on playing ball with a ball that Kath and Colin had. He was in no hurry at all to leave his holiday home and new friends. Kath let Lucas bring his ball home as it was clear he was not at all willing to part with it. That ball is now his favourite toy, he takes it everywhere with him. He knows where it is at all times. We worry about what will happen should he lose it or it becomes worn out with so much use, he is so attached to it.

We would not hesitate to have Kath and Colin look after Lucas again, in fact we would plan our holiday around their availability! Lucas loves them and Kath and Colin obviously love Lucas and all the dogs they take care of. We know we found just the right people to look after Lucas. Thank you Kath and Colin – you are brilliant.

We hadn’t taken our two dogs, Texas and Dallas to a kennels before. The one time we didn’t take them with us on holiday, they were looked after by a family member who had known them since birth! We were very nervous about leaving them with anyone else being young dogs and very much part of our family. As we needed to find somewhere nearer to home (rather than Scotland!) we looked at kennels. We tried them for one night, and although the kennels were clean, warm and well run, we just didn’t enjoy leaving them there. Kennels were not for us!

Kath and Colin became our local pet carers for Texas and Dallas, and from the moment we first met them with our dogs we knew our dogs would be very well looked after…and that we could rest assured that Texas and Dallas would be happy. Kath and Colin make sure our dogs’ routines are carried on, feeding times, walks, treat times, playing in the garden and bedtime routines too. Kath and Colin welcome our dogs into their home every holiday stay and being in a home environment rather than kennels is much better for both Texas and Dallas and for us!

I was looking for an alternative to kennels for my new young dog, Peppa. As she was a part of our family under no circumstances was I going to leave her in a normal kennel environment no matter how highly recommended they came, cages, fences and minimal human contact was out of the question.
I also do not have any family I could leave her with when on holidays, so I made the decision I would stay at home and not go away because of not wanting to leave her. It was then I started to look on line and finally found PetStay After a number of calls to Carole about Peppa and what I wanted, I was put in contact with Kathryn and Colin.

As soon as I met them and saw how they were with Peppa(and how she was with them) I was more than to happy to finally book our summer holiday overseas. That was nearly two years ago now and Peppa has stayed with Kathryn and Colin on numerous occasions, treating it like her second home.

She is part of their family when she stays with them, going on trips to the seaside, and visiting their friends and family – exactly the loving, family environment I was looking for. Peppa is booked in again for 4 weeks over the Christmas New Year period this year so I can visit my family in Australia.

All my holidays are now booked in around Kathryn and Colins available dates, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
