Hello, we are Sue and Simon Jennings the proud New owners of the West Midlands South Branch of PetStay. We live in Sutton Coldfield with 2 children and our Cavapoo Ruby. We used to have 2 rescue Greyhounds Charlie and Noah who were a big part of our family, when they passed we wanted to help other dogs and their owners.
PetStay was the perfect opportunity as we understand the effort and love owners put into the training and care of their dogs, from personal experience we know that owners do not want to leave their furry family members in a kennel. This is why 2 years ago we set up the PetStay West Midlands North and South Staffordshire Branch – to offer bespoke home boarding for family dogs. It’s been such a success we have now taken on the West Midlands South Branch.

6. Confirm Your Booking – Complete our online booking form and pay the arrangement fee within 5 days to confirm your booking.
7. Confirmation – You’ll receive an email confirming your booking details.
8. Stress-Free Booking – You’re all set! No worries, just anticipation for your time away.
9. Drop-Off Time – On your dog’s drop-off day, bring their food, bed, toys, and any other essentials to their carer’s home. At this point, you’ll pay the carer’s allowance directly to the carer.

With a dedicated PetStay branch in your area, you can enjoy peace of mind knowing your dog will receive the best care from experienced, fully vetted carers who are part of your local community.
Our daily rate is made up of two separate payments: the Arrangement Fee and the Carer’s Allowance. Together, these payments cover the full cost of your dog’s stay, ensuring they receive loving care in a safe and happy home.
Prices listed are per day (or part thereof), except for Bank Holidays, when the Carer’s Allowance is doubled — because we believe our wonderful carers deserve extra for their dedication during these special times!
The Arrangement Fee secures your dog’s booking and is due within five days of meeting your chosen carer. For repeat bookings, this fee must be paid within five days of your requested dates being confirmed by PetStay.
This fee is non-refundable and non-transferable, as it covers the service provided by your local PetStay branch in carefully matching your dog with a suitable carer. It also contributes to essential operational costs, including:
The Carer’s Allowance is a separate payment, made directly to your chosen carer when you drop your dog off for their holiday. On Bank Holidays, this allowance is doubled, reflecting the extra commitment and care our carers provide during these times.
Together, the Arrangement Fee and the Carer’s Allowance make up the full daily rate for your dog’s stay.

You must be a genuine dog lover, have experience of looking after dogs and you need to be home during the day so you have plenty of time to give to the dogs you are caring for. You must have a secure garden and agree to abide by PetStay guidelines. You are allowed to have a dog of your own as long as your dog gets on with other dogs.
If you meet all the requirements listed above, we will come and visit you at your home. We will check the security of the garden, explain PetStay procedures and show you the guidelines each carer needs to follow. If you are happy with everything and we feel you would make a suitable PetStay carer, we would follow up a reference and arrange public liability insurance for you.
Our service is on a one-to-one basis, so only dogs from the same household will stay with you. You are allowed to take up to three dogs from the same household, BUT you choose what you are happy with. We will ask you how many dogs you would like to look after and what sized dog/s you would be happy to care for.
No, the owner will bring any food or treats for the duration of the stay. Any toys, bedding, medication and leads will also be brought.
Yes each dog MUST have up to date vaccinations, have been wormed and treated for fleas. Proof of the vaccinations will be brought to the meeting and shown to you.

I would like to say how very pleased I have been with the care Milly & Molly have received from Vanessa and Ken during recent stays. Both go over and beyond to make my dogs not only very welcome but also a part of their family. Which includes little Henry who is a lovely dog and good company for MM. Feeding, walking, fun playtime, rest, sleeping arrangements and lots of loving attention for my little yorkies is the norm and all is just superb.
Milly & Molly really like going there, both get very excited when I pull up in the car outside their house. And they look ever so relaxed, settled and happy when I collect them. I have no doubt that they love their stays with Vanessa, Ken and little Henry.
I can fully and wholeheartedly recommend them as carers. Communication is excellent, I have no concerns at all. I enjoy my “doggie-free” time, and never worry. Looking forward to dropping MM off again in February.

This is the first time I have used PetStay and the first time I have left my 12 year old poodle Oscar with anyone apart from family and was worried how he would be for 12 days whilst I was away. I needn’t have worried at all Karen and Nigel were brilliant with him and cared for him as if he was their own & sent me updates & photos of how he was doing. This is the third time we have used PetStay with two different carers and both were excellent, and can’t recommend them enough. I don’t think I could ever put my dogs in a kennel so this is an excellent alternative and puts my mind at rest whilst on holiday.
We have used PetStay four times in the last year as we have needed cover for four family occasions, 3 weddings and a big birthday. Maggie looked after Molly, our lively Labrador each time and although we didn’t like leaving her, we knew she was being cared for and her needs were being met. PetStay provides home from home care for your pet at a reasonable price. I would use it again if the need arose

Just got back from our holidays. Was so worried about our dog ( who can be a hand full at the best of times) but Maggie our life saver was absolutely brilliant gave us lot’s of update picture’s even though I was texting her and being a nuisance she made me feel reassured thanks a million.
After booking a short break, we then faced the trauma of finding someone to look after our Lilac (Lil. ) As we hadn’t left her before, we were a bit worried about leaving her and keen to find the exact right person. We decided to use PetStay as we’d heard good reviews. We were put in contact with Maggie. On meeting Maggie, it was clear that she is a real dog lover, and really happy to let Lil become part of her family for a few days. She put us at complete ease. She asked Lil’s likes and dislikes, her routine and where she likes to sleep. We were a little concerned about this, as we allow Lil on our bed at night, and we thought perhaps this wouldn’t be acceptable to Maggie. No such thing. She said her bed is a bit high, but she has a set of steps, that Lil could use to climb up! After the initial meeting, it was quite a few months before we were due to go on holiday, so we asked if we could meet Maggie again just to make sure Lil hadn’t forgot her. Maggie was more than happy with this. She wanted to do everything to make us feel at ease. While we were away, Maggie sent daily updates, with photos. It was clear that Lil was absolutely fine, in fact she was having the time of her life, being completely spoilt. As Maggie said, it’s Lil’s holiday too! On our return, it was lovely to see Lil so relaxed, and treating Maggie’s home as her own. Maggie is a really lovely lady and we definitely would be happy to leave Lil with her again.

We have used PetStay many times with two different dogs and the care is always first class. All of the different carers really love dogs and give them a great experience.
Ellen and Liam looked after our young cocker spaniel, Arthur, for his first time away from us. We were nervous about leaving him, but Ellen was so warm and friendly at the meet and greet, that I was immediately reassured. He had one night’s trial with Ellen, so we knew he would be ok before we went away for the main trip. Ellen lives very near a park, so Arthur had lots of walks with her dog, and they got on well. He was able to sleep upstairs, which was great, because it’s what he is used to at home. I thought Arthur might be clingy or sulky with us for leaving him, but he was fine when we got home, which I think was a good indicator that he’d enjoyed his holiday too. PetStay ask you to complete a questionnaire to provide lots of info about your dog, which is good. The personal interface to link you up with the carers is helpful. My only disappointment is that there is a minimum booking of 3 nights and one overnight trial stay counted as 2 days.

We would like you to know that we had a wonderful experience with Colin and Annette. They took care of Izzy as if she was their own pet, and when things got difficult and she needed an anaesthetic and procedure for a badly infected paw, they sorted everything out, keeping us fully informed all the way. Regular daily pictures and updates left is in no doubt that Izzy was very happy with them. All in all perfect pet sitters

I think Lynne is amazing, I liked a few of the carer’s, but Lynne is special, Lily loves her. Lynne is calm & organised, and very helpful. She sends me lots of pics of Lily & tells me what they have done that day. It makes me feel that Lily is really safe & looked after. I can get a bit stressed when I leave Lily, my first dog, and she is a clingy dog. So Lynne makes me happy to leave her. Yes I will always have Lynne if I can.

Our two Cavaliers had the most lovely holiday with Karen and Nigel. They were so wonderful with them and sent us many photos of their time with them. Great experience!
Darcy has stayed with Roger and Gill a few times now and our previous Frenchie Popsy stayed with them to. I wouldn’t leave Darcy with anyone else she loves staying with them. She’s full of energy and that doesn’t phase them at all. They stick to her daily routine and she even sleeps in bed with them. We take Darcy for afternoon visits in-between her bookings as we see Roger and Gill as our family now

What can I say about Margaret and Paul, except they are fantastic! Bayley goes to see them 3 or 4 times a year and I know that he will be looked after as if he was their own. He gets spoilt rotten with fabulous walks and loads of playtime. They send photos and updates everyday which is so reassuring. A huge thank you.

From the initial contact and arrangements through to the wonderful sitter our dog stayed with we were made to feel at ease and confident that Suki would be well cared for. Our sitter sent regular updates during the time Suki was with her. Suki had the time of her life and is looking forward to us going away again! Marmalade has been a regular with PetStay for a number of years, Sue always ensures that she finds the match for our Cocker Spaniel , he has had many stays with Elaine and Bob who he loves, and this time he met Margaret and Paul and couldn’t have been happier.
